I know there is a lot of teeth knashing over the perceved hole at right guard. Yes, that sucks. BUT that hole existed last year too. The good news is it looks like Leary will upgrade his guard spot over what we trotted out there last year. We are also better at center with Frederick over Cook, et. al. So we have already improved. We will see if it makes any difference in the overall functionality of our line in a few weeks.

Oh, no.... it could get a lot worse. We could trot out Alez Barron to play tackle.

You could also have to put Arkin at center because your first three centers are hurt.

In addition both of your starting tackles could be looking "lost" due to the position swap.

And Bernadeau didn't start practicing until a later date in August due to his surgically repaired hip.

This year's offensive line is definitely better than last years-- at the same point.

With one pre-season game under its belt, I think the OPs contention is a bit difficult to prove as yet.

It is a nice sentiment, but the facts aren't in, as yet.

Patience is difficult sometimes, but for this team patience is exactly what is needed before thinking things are solved.

Because that has been the modus operandi for the last decade and a half and it's not worked out real well for us thus far.

If we had 5 all pros across the line. People would still complain.

A fan's perspective has no bearing on the performance of the team. So we can look ahead if we like. :)

And I bet it will get even better as the season begins. It looks like to me that maybe they want an oline that plays fast.

And, they have some young guys to go through...

Let's see Leary play in an actual game before we get over confident in him. Not trying to be the Debbie downer here but the reality of the situation is that we have no idea what we have in him yet. Livings was by no means good last year but he wasn't so bad that Leary can't be worse.

C'mon. You'd have to be feakin' stupid to think this year's line won't play better than last year's.

One injury and this is last year's line. But if the past is any indication - and one pre-season game is not the final word - this line could fall on its face pretty easily.

I might have thought different is Moore had be enticed to play for this team. That day isn't done as yet since money talks and BS walks.

But if you are judging this line on the underwear Olympics and one meaningless pre-season game and professing this will be better, there is still a lot of football to play before they start playing real football.

So thanks for your reply, but I am not stupid.

Didn't call you stupid...

and I'm not judging it on one game.

Pardon me for seeing this response which quoted my post exactly and thought you were speaking to me.

Oh, well I didn't think that you actually would believe that this year's line wouldn't be an improvement over last year's.

If you really do think that then yes, I did call you stupid.

I stand ready for the consequences of my infraction. Wish me luck.

They may or may not be. I think it is much too early to tell.

I am not offended by you thinking I am freakin' stupid. I would imagine you have thought that for years now. Most do.

But I do fail to see how you can make a judgment call on the line and then suggest you are not doing so. I guess that confuses me.

Which may mean i an freakin' stupid.

Good, I wouldn't want to offend you.

And I do apologize for confusing you.

If we have two new starters and one gets hurt, aren't we still one guy ahead of the game?
