When you look at some of the current depth charts, cannot just assume certain players with be taken with a particular team cause that is what the media mock draft are telling us. Remember, many of these losing teams are terrible at the draft process. Here are a few teams I took a look at:

Washington: signed two fa pass rushers and Leo Chanel at LB. Deebo Samuel remains a fa and isn't expected to resign. Very thin in their secondary, could use another offensive playmaker. Many assume Sonny Styles here, I don't think he will be drafted by them.

Chiefs: lost both their starting corners, their starting Right Tackle, starting linebacker and could use another high-end wide receiver. You would think corner/tackle would be on top of their list, where many mocks have them taking a pass rusher.

Arizona: their defense is in pretty good shape, but their offense has holes at every spot except TE and maybe RB if healthy. All mocks have them taking either Reese or Bailey, whomever is left after the Jets. No guaranteed the Jets take either player as well.

need versus value versus your board.

wash needs secondary pretty bad
Chiefs absolutely must improve their O line after the way Mahomes got worked not only last season but in the SB where the eagles made him a tackling dummy
Cards are frankly in need of anything Offense but they have not bad talent at TE and RB so that would possibly rule out Love.

Supposedly most local reports from Arizona have then taking o line.

Not only does the front office not rule it out.

Its the basis of their whole game plan.

LUCK

I woukd try to guess the draft order even if no trades are made in the top 10.

Cowboys just need to be prepared.
- Especially with interviewing and evaluating the mental makeup of players.
- Most of their failed 1st round picks seem to have been due to poor mental makeup more than talent.
- Mazi
- Taco
- Claiborne

Taco had as much physical talent as DLaw but had a terrible attitude and terrible work ethic.
- DLaw worked had ar his craft both in developing technique and in the weight room.

I have written a few posts about those high floor, high iq, character players during this offseason. When you listen to CP’s press conference, he is seeking a particular type-one who loves football, instinctive, smart and physical.

I have been pushing CJ Allen hard for the last few weeks as I heard he blew the team away at his combine interview. He called the defense at Georgia, is considered the most instinctive linebacker in the class, we have a former Georgia assistant on on staff.

I think Chiefs go Freeling. People love to talk about Love going there, but I think thats just media hype. Their OL is why the Eagles dominated them in 2025, and they wont be legit again if the dont fix their OT's

They are kind of in no mans land for a WR. Can you justify Tate that high? I could see them trading down. Or trading up to take Cooper. That there could be an opportunity for us

Today's Raider move could be the lynch pin for a lot of shakeups between now & when cards are turned in. Interesting.

They have a huge hole at RT and their QB might be not as mobile when he returns.

I heard a wild rumor, Browns might be take Proctor at 6 per McShay's sources.

Wow that would be something! Wouldn't be mad at that

I think a top talent is going to be there at #12. We'll be just fine if we take what the draft gives us.

If a wide receiver goes who would it be
I would guess Tate. Lemon is the most talented of the bunch, but supposedly came off terribly in interviews. Tyson has injury issues. Tate's projection, OTOH, is clean as a whistle.

Tate will be a good pro, I just don't think he'll be a top 10 good pro. IMO, he fits in that TWill, Gallup mold as a straight-line boundary guy with NFL average size and speed. WR2 type.

I was thinking Jordan Tyson maybe? Someone loves his traits grabs him 11 or so and then the run on receivers starts like 14

Freeling projects as a developmental Left Tackle. They draft Josh Simmons in the 1st for that spot last year.
They successfully moved the developmental left tackle Suamataia to gaurd that they took in 2024.
Depending on what they think of Jaylen Moore who performed adequately last season they might need a RT.
Even if they didn't sign Walker who will do more to slow down the pass rush than any rookie RT I don't see Reid taking a RT in the top 10 after loosing 3 of his starting secondary and desperately needing someone to provide pressure beyond an aging Chris Jones.
Especially when he can fill the position later in the draft!
