The idea of sitting some key players is pointless anyway as we still have to field our starting O line and key players in other positions that, if lost, would affect our season (Smith, Fred Beard, etc...). Can't sit everybody.

But I do think that if we are getting killed in the second half, or completely dominating NE and game is out of reach either way; sitting a Sean Lee or other key player that doesn't have to be out there and risk injury can make sense.

Beating the undefeated Super Bowl champion Patriots with Brandon Weeden at QB would be one of the greatest triumphs in the history of the Dallas Cowboys, and would be a heck of a way to kick off the bye week. We need a win like this to establish a standard for the rest of the season. If we can beat the Pats with Weeden, the rest of the league doesn't have a chance when Tony gets back.
