1st and goal at the 9 = 0 Points

1st and 10 at the 12 = 3 Points

There it is in a nutshell...........Its hard to fault the defense after the play today but it is just unbeliveable how they can DOMINATE for 58 minutes and then just collapse at the end of the game. What just makes you sick about it is another loss to an inferior team. Certainly Bledsoe's worst day throwing since he has been in Dallas, but that is how it is when there is constant pressure in the backfield. The boys are hurting big time at tackle. On to next week................

So my question is - is it the players or the scheme? Do the players just all of a sudden lose interest or get confused in the last 2 minutes of every game when the opponent needs to march an average of 80 yards to score? Or is it the scheme called by the coordinator every time? I wish someone would stare a poll so we could get a consensus here...

I know this is impossible for most Cowboys fans to do but sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team for making the plays they need to make to win.

You're absolutly right. Too conservative in in these two deep red zone situations. It killed us. You got to take shots at potential kockout blows to put teams/games away.

How do you take a knockout blow with 10 penaltiesfor 100 yards and 4 or 5 sacks???

If we scored a td in one of those two trips, that would have been a kockout blow, regardless of the penalties. But we were too conservative to even take that swing, but rather rely on FGs and defense which came back to haunt us. I say, be more aggressive in that situation (inside the 15 yard line) and take the shot in the end zone and try for the FG if you don't get it....but at least you go down swinging.

We are not talking about the offense going on a long drive to knockout Seattle. The special teams and the defense set them up in great position. The offense has to deliver. Sure execution is the biggest thing, but there has to be some better play calling as well.

There should have been some play called for a pass into the end zone on 1st down on those 2 opportunities. I don't know what you can do about the end of games defensively, but you see it every week in most games that are close. Anyone see the Bronco's Giants game? Same thing. It is not isolated to us. Seems like teams just pick it up when they know they have to go get points late in games. Is it frustrating, yes, but Seattle is a good team at home, and I am not devastated by this loss as I was after the Commanders game. Hopefully, we can get them again in the playoffs. Actually, I would like to open up with whoever the NFC North represenative is! If, and when we get there.
