The three teams the Cowboys have defeated have a combined record of 1-13. The two teams the Cowboys lost two are a combined 10-0.

The Cowboys are playing awful and look like a .500 team. However, there's no disgrace in losing to two of the top teams in the league on the last play of the games. If they can iron some things out they can make the playoffs. Once you make the playoffs anything can happen.

If we didn't continually give the ball away and committ stupid penalties, we would be 5-0. We are a really dumb, unmotivated team. Why are we unmotivated? Because no steps have been taken to correct the mistakes. The same ones are made every week. We're talented enought to be 5-0, but we're not smart enough.

Unmotivated teams don't win three games.

While a W is a W, we have yet to beat a team that had a win this year. Carolina won today (against a horrible Foreskin team), but they are still horrible. I think our players are motivated to win. They're just not motivated to put in the time and effort to correct all the dumb mistakes. Is there another excuse for it? Does our roster have a cumulative I.Q. = to my shoe size?

Bingo. This is something the Cowboys can use for motivation. They woulda shoulda coulda beaten both NYG and Denver. They know how good they can be if they show up in all three phases of the game. It has yet to happen, but if it ever does...

How many games have you won as a NFL Coach/player again?

Let me guess...none.

How many players/coaches on the staff have done my job and done it well? Your point is a stupid one. I'm paid to do what I do, and the players and coaches are paid to do what they do. It doesn't take an NFL coach to see we have discipline issues. It's not an aberration. It happens almost every week when it comes to the turnovers, penalties, etc. The coaches are paid to correct these things and they have failed at it. Is that difficult for you to understand?

I'm positively thrilled we didn't lose to the winless Chiefs.

I doubt it.

I'd like proof, that's for sure.

Two positives from this game to me are

1. They continued to go to austin. Over the last two years I have seen austin open alot in the stadium, but he has always been so far down the pecking order that he never got the ball. Continually going to him can go a long way in him getting better and producing.

2. This win allows us another chance at fixing this season. I really dont think we can beat atlanta with our secondary, but if we find a way to get that one I think we can get the seattle game. So if we are 5-2 with the tough philly-gb trip and can split, we come home at 6-3 and I think on a short week we are good enough to beat washington and oakland. that would put us at 8-3 for the tough stretch. In a sense you can say it is like we have hit the Reset button and are getting a second chance at exactly what we failed at last year. This time with a team fighting for each other and having already been through a lot.

Lose the atlanta game and we are right back to being on a road to nowhere. I think atlanta is far superior to us in almost every way, so winning that atlanta game would be a real confidence boost.

Agree to rest of it, except Atlanta being a superior team. On OFfense, probably you an give that edge, i.e. better than cowboys maybe. But on Defense, they are not that good. But you are correct on Defense too, if players continue be as stupid they were with KC.

I really think players were pressing too hard and hence all those false starts and stupid untimely penalties. Which is also troubling if they ever reach playoffs, with all the talk about never won a playoff game in 12 years, that could be bad sign. I.e. pressure getting to the players.

Statistically the Cowboys are ranked #1 in total offense and Atlanta is ranked #22...does that mean we are superior, maybe...I think if our offense is at full strength and we play within ourselves....we are superior offensively to any team in the league.

Atlanta is not more talented than us on offense. Our running backs are much better and our passing game is just as talented. We just make more mistakes.

I am going to go strictly numbers here.

At 3-2 we can make a run at 7-3 and be "contenders" going down the stretch.

Maybe finish out 11-5 or 10-6 and be a HUNGRY team.

How can you seriously say this? If you really think that the falcons are "FAR SUPERIOR" to us in almost every way, then why do you even bother? If you rank them so far ahead of us then where do you rank us in the NFC?

Do you realize that the eagles have not beaten anyone yet either. And the giants only beat us. That giants game was given to them by us. We were the "Far Superior" team in that game in "almost every way" and we found the way to lose.

Im curious. Who else is "Far Superior to us in almost every way"?

Maybe this is the price we pay for our first playoff win, if that's the case, I'll gladly exchange a misrable september and october for that.

True. But playing within themselves is the question for Cowboys seems like. Epsecially not making mistakes at wrong times, often. Its one thing if it is occasional, but way too many times they making mistakes or penalties at key times.

Why do I even bother what? As for where we are in the nfc, I see us right with the middle of the pack teams like SF and GB and Arizona, Maybe in the end New orleans and seattle.

Its more about how you play than who you play. Philly has wiped the floor with teams they shoud beat, so have the giants. To me the giants are the best team in the league, philly if they get healthy wont be too far behind.

I think atlanta is a notch right below philly and NY. And that is a bit better than we are.

You can justify things however you want, but atlanta will be here in two weeks. If matt ryan gets to stand in a clean pocket and throw the ball, they have way to many weapons for us to handle.

I just dont see us being able to stop any functional offense with more than one pass catching threat, and coming around the corner are Atlanta, Seattle, gb and philly. They all have multiple weapons and that is going to be a problem for us. We are good enough on defense to stop teams with one threat, those games are now behind us.

I hope we find a way to 8-3 and give ourselves a chance, I just havent seen what I have seen from other teams.
