Reason why we can't score

Is because we obviously struggle running in the redzone...

we were tied for 15th in the nfl in rushing touchdowns...

I hate to keep harping on this but marion barber needs to go, no idea why he is the starter, he is completely ineffective in that role. We need to give these young backs who are putting up much better performances an expanded role.

we were 2nd in the nfl in rush yards per attempt... thats not because of barber, thats because of choice and jones.

Also this goalline passing of garretts needs to stop, i know im not the only that hates to see us go 3 and out on the 1 yard line...

this guy wont even dial a qb sneak... he is obsessed with the pass....

I agree barber has not been a bad short yardage back lately. But the line doesn't help our backs out at all in short yardage. When it is 3rd and short or we are on the goaline, i don't know why garret will never call a qb sneak. I would be happy with a couple of fullback dives too. That wouldn't give the defense enough time to penetrate the line. Bottom line, you should be able to get a yard on a fullback dive. So why don't we start trying it

We did it in preseason and I was happy to see it, but I really need to see better play calling from garrett this year.

I loved that play action to roy williams last year it was genius, but the guy simply isn't consistent.

I think he tries to get cute too often.

Emmitt had a lot more carries than any one of our backs though.

#1 I was just pointing out that Emmitt's ypa will naturally be lower cause he wasn't sharing the carries like our rbs currently do.

#2 After Marion the Librarian got hurt against the Gmen he looked terrible. too much dancing in the backfield and it didn't look like he was producing like the other backs were. Felix was the biggest reason we were #2 or whatever we were in ypa followed by Choice imo.

#3 It doesn't have anything to do with our current rbs ypa and either does you bringing up Emmitt's ypa.
