Everything points to this. Gone are the days when he would get the best players, Deion, TO, Haley, Keshawn Johnson, Galloway, and the list goes on. That's when a championship was important to him. That Jerry is gone. A championship is no longer priority number 1.

He has a system. A standard operating procedure that he does not deviate from. Because it achieves what you described. The only time in the last dozen years he's deviated from this was the Cooper trade. But that was only to avoid being a bottom feeder. It was a move out of desperation, not a move to be a contender.

yea, i hate it and didnt want to be doom and gloom, but i cant argue because you also see it.

I dont think we can't compete. The problem is we need half a dozen or so quality players to fill holes like, wr, lb, dt, cb.

If we were aggressive in free agency and drafted well it is achievable.

Unfortunately we aren't aggressive.

I think Jerry has realized giving Dak that big a contract was a mistake and a big one because of the no trade clause. So Jerry is going to do minimal to be competitive. If Jerry were to go all in and fail which he will anyways because of Dak and coaching. The team would really be in cap hell. He needs to just clear the books and let schottenheimer do his thing for a year or two and than get rid of Dak and coaching staff. Hire big name coach and spend a high draft pick on a QB with pedigree.
