If you're talking about TO I'm not sure I agree with that. The Cowboys finally became a good team when TO arrived (not saying TO is what made us a good team though), and that's when the media turned on them.

ps Rampage is one funny guy.
not talking about Owens either. you get 1 more guess

Like I mentioned before and I have said it from begining , I don't believe in Romo completely till proved otherwise. But you don't trade him. Its easy to forget now how bad it was before Romo got here.

Just because we have 3-4 new QBs doing good in NFL from their rookie years its going to keep happening.

I think this is either a great test for Romo or Romo is permanently damaged. My contention or doubt of Romo was, first he never seemed to be careful with the ball. Second he didn't have great predigree (i.e. not a big time College QB or won anything i.e. championship or bowl game etc. from High School to COllege to now). Third, in the interviews I heard him before he became cowboys QB, he always seemed bit over confident. Confidence is good, but it never should border on Arrogance. Thats why I was always skeptical of Romo, till begining of this year. I started to hear different Tone and attitude.

But now I am starting to believe that has also caused confusion to Romo and so now he has become scared to pull the trigger. So now not only he does not make plays, but now he is only making bad plays mostly or making more bad plays than good ones.

Phil Simms apparently told Jennifer Floyd Engel that he doesn't think Romo has hit the Rock Bottom yet. Phil told her that once he hits and can get out of it, he will become a great QB. I hope Phil is correct. But I am not sure Romo hasn't almost reached Rock bottom already.

well all i will say is that, if you look into romo's past you will see right back to his high school days he had some struggles and then put the time and worked and turned it around. basically every time.

His freshman year of college, he struggled and stayed the whole summer on campus just practicing and throwing balls every day, just like he did when battling henson. The stories we heard about him working every day all day with David Lee are all you need to know about the guy.

he isnt a quitter, he wont give up and he will correct his errors.

as his father said about him growing up and playing football at each level...

"everytime he hit a plateau we would all think that was fun...then he would work hard and get better"

A great story in the carolina gameday program had his dad telling a story about Tony in high school. There was a snow storm, a complete blizzard and Tony had a basketball game against east troy high school, it was nearly 20 miles from his house. Tony's father Ramiro was supposed to pick him up from home and take him to the game, but his dad got stuck at work because the blizzard was so bad. Ramiro got home 2 hours late and was expecting to find tony there waiting for him, but Tony was gone. Ramiro got on interstate 11 and was on his way to the high school to see if tony was there. On his way there he saw a kid riding his bike on the shoulder....It was Tony, he didnt want to miss the game and let his teammates down.

What else in the world do you need to know about this guy? He has hit a rough patch, as have the rest of his teammates. I am banking on him pulling out of it.

Didn't listen to the podcast, but I heard this live today, and that d-bag Ian Fitzsimmons was gleefully proclaiming, "But Joe, journalism as you knew it is dead!"... As if it were a great thing that no one bothers to fact check or investigate this stuff before it gets reported anymore.

But Joe is right -- tools like JJT wonder why Tony wants to duck the media sometimes? Look in the mirror, *******.

Did you even read the post or started jumping up and down about Romo? Joe said one can question or critsize Romo about those throws etc. He said nothing or didn't defend Romo. Sorry if it didn't fit your agenda.

You know, I was never a believer of Romo or always thought Romo wasn't going to be that good. Even I, don't get on Tony Romo as some of the fans do now.

So stop getting excited about anything positive said about Tony Romo as a defense of ROmo's play.

What in Sam Hurd's Hell are you talking about? I'm not blaming Romo here or defending him; never even mentioned him in my post. The bad play caller I'm referring to is Garrett and the ones missing their assigments are the blockers who missed the blitz pickup (all game actually) and Hurd for not running his slant route properly enough to shield the defender with the game on the line. He even admitted that. So before you jump to conclusions aboytwhat people mean in their posts, or start accusing peole about having agendas, why don't you GO GET A CLUE!

MORONS!

I think Jerry should get him some real coaches and wrs and see what happens.

I'm not sure Garrett is the problem, but if a decent trade isn't available, then there's no reason to make a trade. But I think there's a chance that a new coaching staff can help. My problem with Romo is that he's lost his ability to anticipate on plays and I don't know if you really get that back. Kurt Warner lost it for awhile and got it back to some degree, but other than that it seems like once it's gone for a QB, they can't get it back.

Still, I think if there's a QB in the first round that we like we should make some moves to get him if there's a possibility. The Broncos paid a ton to Jake Plummer and a few years later saw Jay Cutler in the draft still available and traded up to get him. Obviously, Cutler is gone, but it shows that it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Hopefully this mess will get straightened out sooner or later. I still think there's a lot of talent on this team.

Huh no. They are bad too. Problem is, its not sports journalism, everywhere, Journalists have become biased one way or the other. You cannot trust Journalistsm especially big time papers or TV, totally, unless you can cross check those reports from different sources.

Its the internet and Blogosphere that changed a lot. Sports Journalism had integrity before, more than political journalists, but now that has changed too.

I agree 100% with what your saying. Almost all journalism has turned into
sensationalism in order to get ratings/paid.
