I like when he talks about parcells in the 80s like he was covering the giants then or something. Cracks me up. He is like 26 or something.

Smith has little clue about any team not named the New England Patriots. The other day he tried to claim that Phillips likes to play a lot of Cover 2. Phillips' scheme is essentially a tweaked version of the 46 and in the playbook it states that one of its main objectives is to protect the deep middle, which is something that the Cover 2 *does not* do. Phillips plays some Cover 2, all coaches do. But he probably utilizes it some of the least amounts of any Defensive coach in the NFL.

Basically, take Smith's words with a grain of salt.

And if we wanted Hamlin, I'm pretty sure we would've gotten him by now.

Of course they started it by showing the last snap of the playoff game. Then they showed a "TO Timeline." Old news. I can't stand Michael Smith. Smith said TO will be a Cowboy next season and he will be comfotable with his new coaches. He said Romo will have another season under his belt so TO will be better there. Draft priorities include youth at WR, secondary, and pass rushers. Michael thinks that the Cowboys can go to the Superbowl if Tony Romo can put the drop behind him. They of course said that we will take S Reggie Nelson. Pretty dissapointing piece if you ask me.:starspin

I wouldn't say it's a "teaked version of the 46" but his 2003 Falcons playbook did actually have a small sampling of 46 formations. Check it out on page 127. It's hidden in the middle of the coverage portion of his playbook, which is why I missed it for so long. He calls the formation "Bear."
