Missed a small amount early so someone can fill in. Couldn't hear the questions well.

1. Jason...We'll look at film and go forward. Mentioned this several times. Will coach them hard after an unemotional review of the film. We'll be prepared for the next game.
2. Jason...Tony took advantage of the run game looking for opportunities to make plays and he did.
3. Jason...Team is special. Close friends like some I've been on. Team effort. Everyone on the screws working hard.
4. Jason...One play at a time. They were mentally tough and fought hard. Defense did a good job winning on the early downs.
5. Jason...We were drive then 3 and out. Again a reference to previous teams.
6. BTW....Tony all time Cowboys' passing leader now. Great fraternity of guys to be apart of with Aikman and all. Great to get an opportunity to be with those guys.
7. Tony we don't pay a lot of attention to other games going on.
8. Tony...good teams win in these situations. We're a better team now but it took more wins for us to do 'it'.
9. Tony...you always want to get off to a quick start. To have the ability to make them one dimensional is helpful. One play at a time. Execute.
10. Tony...he and Jason been here together. On the bus to the facility together. Wants success for Garrett.
11. 4 seamer routes. Cole to Dez to Witten reads on that one play. Explained looking off the safety and how.
12. Tony...very comfortable throwing the ball. I know where I'm going. Different positions throwing and don't have to be perfect now to make the throws. Able to throw just with upper body after working hard to perfect craft. Always been able to see it. Fundamentals better this year.
13. Tony...Murray right temperament. Great kid. Works as hard as anybody.
14. Tony...working on details as team. Executing at a high level.
15. Tony...I'm a better player now than I've ever been. But I have a better team around me. Felt like in first game didn't feel right and thought I might now be as good as I was. Never playing as well as this before.
16. Tony...Question about bye. We're going to have a home game. Crowd outstanding today. Rocking.
17. Tony..Won't answer questions about seeding etc. Sounds like he doesn't know.
18. Tony...Feels comfortable playing at home. Very.
19. Tony...He'll be happy playing next week or not.
20. Tony...Fun game today. Players need to understand what an opportunity they have now. Never experienced a game that didn't matter.
Merry Christmas.
21. Jason...Team has special traits.
22. Jason...Huge stop before the half. Wilcox always had play making traits. Learning position. More aware now. Knows what it takes to play his position now.
23. Jason...Knew Murray would play before getting off the bus last week. Very determined. As tough mentally and physically as anybody he's been around. "pretty darn special" and Tony said the same. Both said his toughness and determination rubbed off and everyone.

10. Tony...he and Jason been here together. On the bus to the facility together.

This was after Tony Romo was asked if it was extra special setting the team passing record on a throw to Jason Witten.

Said that it would be once enough time passed to look back on it fondly.

Thinks the world of Witten, they were on the same bus together from the airport for rookie mini-camp following the draft.

No one deserves to enjoy the team's success more than Witten.

This has gotta be like a story written. "Destiny" couldn't have scripted it better.

One of the intangibles that make me hope they can find a way to work out a deal to keep him

Retaining DeMarco Murray will likely entail no team blowing his doors off with an offer in free agency.

That would bring his price down and put Dallas in position to match any deal.

Another key is inking Dez Bryant long term instead of tying up $13M in cap space next year with the franchise tag.

I don't believe the Cowboys would use the tag on Murray, if available.

Agreed, franchise tag on Murray makes no sense, with Dez it does not withstanding the possible negative side effects of how he would respond to that.

I'm still not interested in spending too much on him but I don't think he can just be replaced willy nilly either.

I'm definitely not for breaking the bank, hoping a reasonable deal can be made or worse case they use that money well to shore up the rest of the team, they got some work to do in the off season

You guys gotta watch this starting at 3:15. We all love to chat here and pretend but this is one of the first times I've heard an NFL QB literally walk you through the play.

Dude, I watched that and you're right it was awesome. Gives you an appreciation of the pre-snap read, the progressions and recognition that all go into a play like that and what's amazing is the throw is probably the easiest part for him. Being a good quarterback in the NFL is no joke.

Thanks a lot for that!

They were on the same bus to the team’s hotel for their first rookie minicamp in 2003. They became best of friends off the field and nearly unstoppable on the field since Romo became the starter in 2006.

“We’ve been through hell and back together,” Witten said. “To come back the other side on this day and to get a little bit of success and experience that, it was special for sure.”

Nobody has defended Romo more than Witten. After every heartbreaking loss, Witten stood up for his quarterback and sometimes paid a price for it. When he realized that throw broke Aikman’s record, he made sure Romo got the ball.

For Tony Romo, there is no more doubt
December, 21, 2014
By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

ARLINGTON, Texas -- When Tony Romo left AT&T Stadium on Sept. 7, the Dallas Cowboysquarterback felt doubt for the first time in his career.

He threw three interceptions in a 28-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Maybe this was it for him. Maybe two back surgeries in less than a year were too much. How many 34-year-old quarterbacks get better after a diskectomy?

“I felt maybe I wasn’t as good as I once was,” Romo said in a moment of reflection after the Cowboys beat the Indianapolis Colts on 42-7 Sunday to clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2009. “That was tough. I didn’t physically feel right.”

After that game, he promised that he would be better. Things would be different. It didn’t really start to happen for him until he changed his practice schedule, sitting out Wednesdays from the second game of the season on.

The confluence of feeling as good as he has all season -- the back still nags him, as he also fractured two transverse processes and has had torn rib cartilage during the season -- came together with an historic game Sunday.

Romo completed 90 percent of his passes (18 of 20), a franchise record. He threw four touchdown passes and was not intercepted. He threw for just 218 yards, but it was enough to surpass Hall of Famer Troy Aikman for the most passing yards in franchise history.

He has 32,971 yards in his career and holds Cowboys records for passing yards and touchdowns.

“Statistics are just something that are part of the game, but we are all about winning and losing,” said Romo, who completed 16 straight passes at one point. “At the same time it is always an honor any time you are just mentioned with Aikman or [Roger] Staubach or [Danny] White. It is just a fraternity of QBs that is special to be a part of.”

As he spoke, Romo wore a T-shirt that read "Cowboys run the East," a nod to their NFC East title. In the previous three seasons, the Cowboys had T-shirts and hats ready for them if they had won Week 17 matchups against the New York Giants, Washington Commanders andPhiladelphia Eagles. But they lost each one.

Romo did not play in the game against the Eagles last December because of the diskectomy. After his first game back this season, he questioned whether he could play at the highest level after telling everybody in the offseason that his best years were ahead of him.

Now, maybe they are.

“It’s hard to play better than he played today,” coach Jason Garrett said. “Great decisions. Great poise. Again and again and he delivered for us.”

Romo’s four touchdown passes went to four different receivers. It was fitting that he broke Aikman’s record with a 25-yard TD throw to Witten down the seam that increased the Cowboys’ lead to 35-0 with 4:41 left in the third quarter.

After the game, Romo wasn’t quite sure where the ball was.

“We’ve got game balls stored away [at home],” Romo said, “and I’m sure we’ll put them together some day so the kids can see their dad did something at one time.”

Always knocked for his late-season performance, Romo is 3-0 this December. He has 10 touchdown passes and no interceptions. In his past 16 regular-season games in December and January, he has 39 touchdown passes and eight interceptions.

But because of the uniform he wears and the quarterbacks he follows in Cowboys history -- Staubach and Aikman are Hall of Fame quarterbacks – Romo needs more than just individual records to achieve a similar legacy.

“I’m going to say it one more time: Somehow, someway,” owner and general manager Jerry Jones said, “he needs to have a Super Bowl by his name. He’s that good.”

To see Witten and Romo on the field right after a Super Bowl win would be the highlight of my lifetime of Cowboys fandom
