On Pacman
He has a chance to come back after 10th game. His status will be reviewed after 10th game. If he meets every condition and is clear of pending charges against him and the investigation in Vegas, then he has a chance.

Patrick: Well if I'm Pacman or the player's association, I'm gonna say "what is my guy guilty of? He hasn't been arrested or charged with anything, right?

Commissioners have a wide discretion in what they're able to do. I don't think Tagliabue used it. Paul was a lawyer. He believed in due process. But they have wide discretion on player misconduct. And they can use it as conduct detrimental to the league.

If Pacman wants to appeal this, the player's association will absolutely appeal this on his behalf. Talking to prominent player representatives held at a meeting in Maui last month ago, 80% at that meeting PacMan and Chris Henry to have a perm ban. One specific player rep said alot of the players are tired of getting slammed in with PacMan Jones and guys like that.

On Henry
He's suspended for a clean 8 games. He cannot be reinstated before 8 games. And that's also if he meets his conditions.

On Tank Johnson
Goodell wants to give him a hearing. But because he's in jail, they're trying to work out the logistics of doing that. But he shouldn't be counting on playing this year either.

Just to be clear, he may have believed it was morally appropriate to provide players due process, but he certainly wasn't required by law to give due process, and no player could bring an actionable claim against the league for failure to provide due process.

You can keep spinning it any way you want to, but the fact remains unprompted by me the language is being thrown out there.

Just like I said it would.

True. It's being thrown around by laymen that don't know what the term means.

Due process within the NFL is talking to the Commissioner and he makes a decision. That was done. Pacman and his mouthpiece have nothing.
