I think our pass catchers deserve a praise thread despite the tough loss. I've been somewhat critical of them for drops and lack of YAC this season but they were all incredible yesterday.

Dez - Well he was Dez. Beast in the redzone and got some deep balls too. Kinda like Romo in that he usually throws in one big mistake in an otherwise great show (his fumble hurt). But the guy is still rising.

Williams - Man did he ever step up. I thought he wasn't ready to play like this I was wrong. He got open a lot and blew away that defender on the long TD. He is what they drafted him to be.

Beasley - The Beas showed why he is an important cog in this offense and why it was stupid to have him inactive the first couple of games. He just gets open, scoots around and is good at YACs that get first down and TDs. I'm very excited he is getting integrated in this offense he kills it underneath. Great hands too.

Witten - He even looked faster! Busting down the seam and making grab after grab. Unstoppable. He can be my BFF anytime - pinkie swear!

Escobar - Coming along slowly but surely. Made that somewhat tough catch look easy down the seam. Not his fault at all on the INT he didn't expect the LB to flash in front like that to a underthrown ball.

I know the loss sucked but man we have weapons and we're using them! I can't even remember any bad drops. And importantly the guys are getting great yardage after catches.

I'm ready for the Dez, Williams and Beasley era to be officially here. What's sad is Miles will probably get his starting job back.

Also, holy smokes Williams is fast. When he caught that ball, he pulled away like it was nothing.

Precisely as I called it. The only thing is I expected Austin to be a factor in all of this. I felt that with Austin we would be unstoppable. We could spread defenses wide, and we could just do a lot of things.

I think maybe just maybe when we lose players and coaches have to get more creative, you see better offense. Maybe it is something else.

I'm happy with this group as well but Escobar cant drift away on that route. He has to come back to the ball. Doesn't matter if he expected the LB to flash in front of him or not.

One knock on Williams is that he's a body catcher. Dez on his 77 yd catch caught that ball with his hands. Nonetheless, Williams rebounded strongly from the previous week, I think we have a ball player folks!

I thought I remember Williams catching his big play with his hands also?

They finally used him correctly. They finally gave him lower risk, higher reward routes which is always nice for any rookie. and they let him stretch the field.

I may be beating a dead horse, but man, I'm excited about the Dez, Williams and Beasley combo for the future.

If Garrett is sitting guys like Claibourne and Carter, that may suggest that he's leaning towards productivity vs popularity. Miles is like a one hit wonder or something.
