Releasing T.O. gives me mixed feelings but in my view the Positives of his release out ways the Negatives, so it's time to move on. I don't have a problem with Roy Williams becoming the #1 Wideout especially considering he'll have a complete training camp with Romo. However, as much as I like Miles Austin and want him a Cowboy I just don't think him due to Injuries and Patrick Crayton due to Inconsistencies give me a warm and cozy feeling becoming the #2 Wideout. I look at them as more of #3 and #4 Wideouts. In saying this I do think the Cowboys are in the Market for a #2 Wideout and would definitely sign someone for a stop gap #2 for a season or two. I like Braylon Edwards as a #2 but not really sure wha they have to give up to get him. I really don't know his status. I also like Torry Holt for a season or two. I just think in this years Draft we have too many holes to fill to use a high draft pick on a WR....save this for the 2010 Draft when we will have a #1 Pick and all our others. This #2 Wideout probably needs to come from Free Agency right now. In my opinion the 2009 NFL Draft needs to focus on:

2) Safety
3) NT
4) OL or LB
5) OL or LB

I'd throw guard in there as well.

SS, OL, LB then WR IMO

We have plenty of wr/te options RW, Crayton, Witten, Bennett, Austin and Felix

Yep. You're right; drafting a 4th string WR is a priority.

I did with OL .....

You did.

Let me clarify by stating that Dallas needs a starting guard to come out of this draft. I don't trust what they have in-house right now other than Bigg.

Kosier and Holland are very good guards. I'd would like to see Jerry draft a LT to groom as Flozells replacement.

We've got to have another WR on the roster, yes, but I don't know that it becomes a priority over some of the other positions. Like it or not something like this is exactly why they got Roy Williams to be a #1 WR here.

I like Kosier and Holland but I believe they are limited. Dallas needs to push someone on the current o-line out and I think that would be Kosier and/or Holland.

I do agree that a LT would be nice but it would have to be a developmental player from the lower rounds. It would be a stroke of luck to land one of the top tackles in this year's draft at #51.

people have way to much faith in Crayton for a guy most people wanted replaced just 1 year ago, He's a bellow average #2 as for Austin we really don't know what he can do yet and Hurd and stanback should even be mentioned

Willaims is a avg to good one

Austin I think can be a good number 2 If he can stay healthy

Crayton is a good 3rd

Hurd is a good 4th

Depending on how the draft falls if they have a WR at the top of thier board at any pick they should take him.

We have Austin and Hurd for another year and Stanback has to push for Playing time this yr or he should be gone. It's not a need, but the roster has spance for a WR.

Kosier makes the oline so much better. The best games we had running the ball was when he came back. He's very underrated IMO.

We can't afford to take a WR Receiver high in this Draft. We need a Safety and NT with the 1st two picks...

So we cut TO, alot of u guys are happy, now you guys want replacements, I thought we had the replacement on the team already RW, Austin, Crayton, Hurd and Stanback.... I think Jerry folded to early, TO was not the problem, our problem hurt us when Romo went down with injury, everything fell apart right their and TO was the fall guy, I truly think this was a bad move....

We can't afford to reach for a NT and a S if there is better value on the board.

Now if it went how i wanted it would go

S, NT, OL, LB, WR

Trade Burnett, Ellis and a 4th round pick for Greg Jennings with Green Bay.

I'd like to resign Burnett, his doors are not getting blown off with offers it appears.

If we trade Ellis then OLB needs some attention

Grrr....

Everyone needs to stop panicking.

We have one of the most talented rosters in this league. To the extent we have some areas we can improve, they aren't massive holes.

Yes, we could use a better safety. Yes, it would be nice to have another NT. Yes, it would be great to have another WR.

But this team can win without those. We are FAR, FAR more talented than the Cardinals last year. We are one of the most talented teams in the league across the board.

We need to execute better. We have the talent to win. If we succeed or not, its not going to be because we filled any percieved holes. It's going to be because the team came together and executed. Similarly, filling those holes does not matter a lick unless we come together and execute.

So, if we can add parts to fill those holes, then great. But we are NOT in bad shape if the season started today.

I agree 100 percent, we just need to get a deal done with Miles Austin we cant afford to lose him.
