Pro Bowl WRs/TEs past 20 SB Winners

Note: Also indicates player is not a Pro Bowl WR/TE but was better than some that have been to the Pro Bowl.

All teams had at least 1 Pro Bowl WR/TE.

Some teams like the Saints were stacked with receiving options despite only 1 Pro Bowl player.

The Patriots are the closest to winning without a legit #1 WR but it's easier to get multiple #1 WRs than to get Belichick-Brady.

Broncos: Rod Smith, Shannon Sharpe

Rams: Isaac Bruce, Az-Hakim, Torry Holt

Ravens: Jermaine Lewis, Shannon Sharpe, Ben Coates

Patriots: Troy Brown

Bucs: Keyshawn, Keenan McCardell, Ken Dilger

Patriots: Troy Brown
Also had:
WR Deion Branch - Super Bowl MVP
Larry Centers - All time receptions leader for RB
Kevin Fault - More career receiving yards than rushing yards.

quarterbacks?

Good one. I think Dak will be fine. Everyone that has there underwear in a bind over Dez dosent get it. Dez excelled when we had Romo.. not so much with Dak at the helm. That’s not a knock on Dak. He’s obviously a different style QB than let’s say Romo, Brees, Brady, etc.. Dak will excel with more WRs that have speed, better route running, and separation. Yes, Dak prob needs more help from his WRs than the ‘elite’ QBs. But he’s young and has time to work on his craft like Romo did. Maybe later in his career he’ll need less help and be more decisive, till then.. he’ll need WRs to work with him and spread the ball around.

So now we are going with players that were in a pro-bowl in any year not just the year they were Superbowl winners?

Martellus Bennett was in the pro-bowl in 2014 while with the Bears and you have him listed with the Patriots that won the superbowl 2 years later?

Ken Digler was in the pro-bowl once with the Colts in his 10 year career. The year he played for the Buccaneers in the Superbowl he had a whole 22 catches for 244 yards in 15 games.

Randle-El never was elected to a pro-bowl. He was an alternate as a return guy.

Larry Centers had 82 yards rushing and 109 yards receiving in the last year of his career with the Patriots. He had exactly 0 catches and 0 yards rushing or receiving in the superbowl.

I honestly am not even going to dignify half of the rest by looking them up.

Yeah, great list. Looking at sample above it really proves a lot.

Ehhh....some of those receivers aren't great. Pro Bowl doesn't equate to being a elite or great player. I think that Eagirls receiving core is average at best.

Almost all of those Rec. corps were just average.

Some of you need to look up the word average. There are 32 teams in the nfl, there aren’t 16 teams with multiple pro bowl pass catchers.

Patriots Randy Moss?
The Pats lost that year.

In Super Bowl XLII, he scored the go ahead touchdown with 2:42 left in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard pass from Tom Brady. However, this was still not enough to enable the heavily favored Patriots to eclipse the only undefeated season with a Super Bowl win, held by the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Eli Manning drove the Giants down the field connecting with Plaxico Burress, for what proved to be the game winner and huge upset over Moss and the Patriots.
