Recognizing and addressing needs

He's also bad in a crowd, has trouble holding onto the ball, and has major problems against the press.

You can state his good, I can state his bad, that's fun. However, I seldom fall in love w/ prospects. I realize that they are all prospects and anyone can bust.

At present, we do need WR's. Yes, plural. However, we also need MLB, NT, and prolly S. And an OL. Lots of needs.

So, yes, I do like him. Wouldn't complain at him in the 1st. Nice potential as an outside WR.

We need LB, NT, and S badly, WR, and o-line.

IMO Derwin James is the 1 guy who could make a huge difference on this team because what he allows you to do with your other secondary players. He also isn't just an in the box SS or limited to sub-packages. I think he can be a true difference maker as a rookie on the stat sheet, but also from an identity factor of adding some nastiness.

With that being said I don't know if he will be there at 19, and honestly I don't know if we have the resources to move up based on the amount of needs this team has.

Problem I find is there is a significant drop off in OG and SS outside of the 1st round, and based on limited tape and info that i have studied.

One possibility is if James is gone is to trade back, add more picks so we have more leverage to move up in the later rounds which is never a bad problem to have but how far do you trade back.

This reads like a suicide note.

You okay?

He's a fan. You ought to try it sometime.

The reality is that this team could skip the entire off-season and if we have good health...and no lunatic Goodell actions...go 10-6. Maybe 11-5.

With 10 draft picks and a few pieces in free agency...this ship will be ready for sailing into the toughest seas.
