So how many miles did you have on your Red Miata when you sold it? :laugh1:

1) There is a perception that red cars stand out more so you're more likely to get pulled over for speeding.

2) Red washes out the tail lights so aesthetically some people don't like it.

3) Red is not seen as a manly color and often it is men who are the ones doing the buying of cars.

4) Some cars just don't look good in red. Mustangs are good red cars, whereas a BMW is not for instance.

Just a few reasons that might contribute.

I don't think newer Mustangs are all that great in red. Classics Mustangs look great though.

I love black myself, especially with my Challenger, but it's a PITA to keep clean and it was the reason the Mustang I had before was Silver.

Agreed. Every car I've owned has been black, with the exception of my first, which was white with black racing stripes ('69 Camaro). I just ordered my wife a black BMW X5. Won't be here until May, though, unfortunately.

Not a fan of black because when they're dirty, they're dirty. But when they're clean, they look oh so good.

My G37 is blue slate. I love dark colors other than black. My next car will likely be graphite colored.
