My friend was in the original movie. Darren Dalton. Played bass in our band along with his brother, Eric. He was the guy with the tracking beacon and was eventually shot. Also the worst actor. :

He got a gig in Rumble Fish as a Soc. He was the guy who drove the red Mustang. They actually let him keep the Stang. It was a real POS tho. Barely made it back to ABQ.

We had some good times me and the Dalton boys.

I did not care for the original as I thought the premise was ridiculous. I think I'll give this one a pass. Red Dawn was Charlie Sheen's first movie, I believe. BTW, Iceberg, a sequel to Logan's Run would be interesting. Like others here, I question the push for remakes.

It was the Russians(Soviet Union) that invaded. That is where the Red came from. In the original China was an ally.

One of my all-time favorites, looking forward to this one, saw the previews last night when we went to see "the Watch". Horrible movie BTW, do not waste your time.

Do y'all think I'm that stupid? I know it was Russia and Cuba in the original. If you followed the pre-production of the re-make they had China set to invade not North Korea.
