There's a big problem here on both sides of the ball.

On offense the Cowboys Red Zone Scoring % is on 55.93%. Part of this is the choke factor this franchise has had for 30 years. Can't make the playoffs very often, can't win in the playoffs, can't stop 3rd down, and can't convert enough in the RZ because all of these are barometers of handling the pressure of expectations.

We get cute with the calls far too often which is an indictment of Shcotty and his brain dead play calling in the RZ. 99% of the time this team should have been pounding the ball, but instead we had far too many inexplicable, and unnecessary pass attempts. An attempt fails, which makes us panic and call another pass - which is also incomplete - settle for a FG.

On defense the Opponent Red Zone Scoring percentage is 70.69%. Teams can sleep walk into the end zone against the worst defense I've ever seen in Dallas. Unacceptable. Practically no resistance to even crap offenses and crap QBs.

Only real solution is to blow this whole thing up, and start over with a brand new GM who makes all the calls from there, but that ain't going to happen so expect more of this next year and beyond.

I don't get the playcalling in the redzone but Lamb lining up offsides and BeeBee false starting, both on 3rd and medium killed 2 drives.

That's part of the choke factor that I mentioned in my post.

Yeah I miss the days inside the 5 it was typically a handoff. I can understand throwing if you're stopped on 1st and 2nd down and haven't gained any yardage but other than that just pound it. I also like the Dak draw from there.

The red zone offense under McCarthy last year was trash.

The fact the OC from the same staff was brought in as HC and things were supposed to change is exactly what’s wrong with this team.

I acknowledge that in my post. I have to state for the record that 1+1=2 even if Jerry refuses to ever accept that truth.
Last year we were much worse. Like 40%

It’s also an odd contrast that we are fourth in the league at points but 19th in red zone offense.

Anyway, there are lots of reason to blow up the front office. Red zone conversion rate is just one stat.

If you find a way to blow up the GM, let me know. We just turnover over the entire coaching staff. I’m not sure replacing them all after one season is going to solve anything

So you think when Dak getting paid $60M+, CD $32M+ and soon to be Pickens $30M+, we should run the ball with our $3M RB???

I would just be happy if we ran a damn QB sneak on 3rd and 4th and 1.

The time to blow the whole thing up as you put it was when they got thrashed by the Packers. That should have been the last season most of these players should have seen in a Cowboys uniform.

to your point its been a long time issue. we tend not to have the same focus and sense of urgency. just running through plays that are called and then oh well!!!. we get them next time.

I think big part of the redzone issues is the OL. I said it before the season, I am not sold on this OL and I got argued under the table. in those tight quarters, if teams don't respect your OL and drop 6 or 7 into coverage your passing lanes are clogged. if you can't get a push on the DL and get the necessary yards on the ground, your hands are tied. we can't seem to be able to run in the redzone and then we can't pass and our go to play is the fade route!!!...I saw Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams execute a play inside the 5, with the WR coming wide open on the right. I have never seen us or any of our recievers that way.

and then penalties, penalties, penalties. inside the redzone, you can not kill yourself with penalties and it happened again yesterday. I remember the game Guyton had two back to back penalties and it keeps recurring.

and don't get me started on the defense, yes, 3rd down defense has been amongst the worst and teams tend to go for it on 4th down, because hey, if they suck and give up a 1st down 40% of the time, going twice is almost guaranteed to get them a first down and keep drives alive. folks tend to focus on offense, they ahve to score every posession, lets 1nalyze a play or series until cows come home, but man, get off the field. get the ball bac to offense, give them one extra drive each half and you will see scoring go up. GB, Giants games were two great examples.

but you know jerry is not going to blow it up. its a year to year thing with him. 30 years and no vision. what do I have to do to get fans in seats, sell merchendise this year. and we end up here.
