Let me start by saying that I was calling for Garrett's head 2 years ago after the season ended. I just felt underwhelmed with his coaching style.etc...but...

I tell you, this guy has really grown into a good coach. I noticed it week two at Tennessee when I was in the stands and watched him be animated and get on the refs seemingly for the first time.

I have watched him really take on and embrace the 'Head Coach' only role this year and I think it is starting to pay dividends, obviously.

In his post game press conference, that was probably the most genuine I have seen him and I think he needs to do more of that and he will be embraced by the entire fanbase.

He was especially gushing about Demarco. He really painted Demarco's feat of playing today as something that he will never forget and I honestly can say it was a pretty amazing thing he did today. Now it wasn't his best game but to not make any mistakes and run the ball as many times as he did and pass protect without issue, 5 days after surgery....pretty special stuff right there.

I would suggest everyone go on Dallascowboys.com and watch that 7 minute presser.

Garrett's finally in a role that allows him to succeed. He doesn't have to be a hybrid OC/HC. He can hire the best guys, let them do their job and then focus on doing his job.

Garrett will push hard to resign Murray. Murray is his type of guy. I just hope JJ doesn't go overboard.

J.J. Wilcox, too.

Jason Garrett is definitely super proud of DeMarco Murray, but I can tell he's real happy about Wilcox's progression since joining the team last year.

And he's only going to get better.
