Owings Mills, MD (Sports Network) - Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed missed practice for a second straight day Thursday because of a thigh injury.

Reed has been bothered by his thigh problem recently, but has not missed a game and will likely play Saturday night when the Ravens visit Dallas.

Selected for the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, Reed leads the Ravens with five interceptions and has scored three touchdowns this season.

Those limited in both practice sessions this week for Baltimore included wide receiver Derrick Mason with a shoulder problem and kicker Matt Stover with an ankle injury.

He'll play. He's a gamer and unfortunately for us a future HOF player. Romo HAS to be aware of where he is at all times.

We'll see what happens, but this game is Saturday not Sunday and he's sat out what will probably be the last practice.

If Ed Reed doesn't play, we win huge.

LOL, yeah pretty bad huh? The sad thing is that we were correct for the first few years. Then Roy went soft on us. One guy went UP the other guy went DOWN.

He will play he has had the problem for weeks now. I live around B-More and it has been a nagging injury, actually a hammy though they classify it a "thigh" injury.

We'll see how effective he is on this short week.

Ed Reed is the man... I told people back in 2003 that Dallas should have chosen him over Roy Williams.

Yeah, it turned bad when Roy started hanging with Destiny's Child and collecting poodles. He got really sensitive and soft.

Gaither was listed as doubtfull on Wednesday and then probable on Thursday. Reed is listed under doubtfull because he hasn't practiced but probably falls into probable on Friday.

That's b/c Gaither was sick, he wasn't injured or anything.

Keep in mind-our game is on Saturday, NOT Sunday. Pt being that they release the official injury reports 2 days before the games.

Tom Brady was listed as questionable every game last season (and some seasons previous to that IIRC)

lol @ smokescreen

Ed Reed is going to play. period.

They can manipulate it to some extent, but they can't over-exagerate and lie about it. Otherwise, Reid would list Westbrook as doubtful every week.

Was Brady ever listed as doubtful? Like I said above-they can manipulate it, but they can't go overboard and exagerate about it. Otherwise-Reid would list Westbrook as doubtful every week with his supposedly chronic knee injuries.

I don't recall Belicheat ever listing any of his decently healthy players as doubtful b/c he can't.
