He is a welcome surprise in amongst all the butt-kickery going on. I was really worried when the season began but it seems the more he's out there the better he gets. Big ups to Jacques!

I thought I heard one of the announcers during the Rams game say that he may be arguably the fastest guy on the team. Does that sound correct? Maybe he had Reeves mixed up with Newman.

He had better continue to improve, who knows how long Henry will be unable to contribute with his high ankle injury. If Newman reinjuries his foot we would be in major trouble.
I'm thinking that maybe we should make a trade for a corner to cover the thinest position on the team. Becuase this team is poised for a serious run and injuries at the corner could piss it all away.

Henry was having a monster year. He had a chance to intercept the pass on the play he got injured. I hope this is a mild ankle sprain, although the word "high" in front of it concerns me. It took Julius a long time to recover from a similar injury. As far as TNew goes, HE SHOULD NOT RETURN PUNTS!!! Let Crayton do it. We need our CBs to get healthy in a hurry.

I couldn't agree more, Tass. And Nate Jones is doing pretty well too. I just hope our coaches can keep them progressing at a steady rate...

He was the Big Ten 60 meter dash champion at Purdue. Newman is probably the only other Cowboy faster.

i think reeves is showing why the decision was made to let go of glenn. while it was a head scratcher for many of us at the time, i think wade has been proven right in that regard.

in any event, good to see him step up!

Yup ..... was not the first time I was wrong .... wont be the last.

Go Reeves!

I was mad when they cut Glenn, but the coaches knew what thye were doing, he has more long term upside, gets better all the time..

hahaha i know i was a little shocked that we had our #1 corner who is slightly injured returning punts!?? but i think that we should try using Pat Watkins at corner. he is a coverage safety and with that 6-5 frame he would do nicely at nickle

if newman, reeves and henry all get hurt, ya know what? we've got problems. then again, it goes that way for most teams if they lose their top 3 players at any given position.

let's trade for more WR help also in case TO and Crayton gets hurt and glenn can't come back.

step back a bit and look at what you just said. how many #1 cb's can any team have "just in case" of injury? who do you lose to gain this insurance policy and then, who do you trade for? what do you give up for it?

toss out more details and less FUD please.

How many teams are lucky enough to have even three guys that are all capable of starting in the NFL and being above average CB's. Much less how many teams are 4 and 5 deep at CB. Here is a hint, the number of teams that are truely 4 deep at CB, is less than one.

This has been brought up several times on this board, but Watkins is not quick enough and agile enough to play corner. He has great straight line speed and jumping ability, but if you've seen him run any drills in training camp that required lateral quickness and turning hips you'd understand why he is not a CB.

Damnit Henry was playing well too. Reeves is playing well in his capacity right now but he could get flustered against a better team. I don't know if newmann is ready.

I was a bit shocked that on the very same series Henry went out, they put Newman back to return a punt.

Yeah, I agree that Reeves has been improving each week. At first, during the first game, I was very nervous about having him anchoring one corner and yes, he has made some mistakes but he has been learning from his mistakes to make him a better CB.

Now I understand why Aaron was released, this kid can play.
