Every week of the regular season, we provide a wide range of fantasy statistics. All of these stats, except the game-by-game, will be updated every Monday afternoon and again on Tuesday afternoon to include the Monday-night game. Here's what you get in this comprehensive fantasy statistics collection:



Skill-position scoring



Positions available: quarterbacks | running backs | wide receivers | tight ends
Total fantasy points are calculated as follows: TD passes (3 fantasy points each) + 300-yard passing bonuses (3 points) + TD runs/receptions (6 points) + 100-yard rushing or receiving bonuses (3 points) + 40-plus-yard-TD bonuses (3 points for run/catch; 2 points for pass) + two-point passes (1 point) + two-point scores (2 points). Does not include special-teams touchdowns.


Total fantasy points regardless of position


Total fantasy points are calculated using the same scoring system as in skill-position scoring above.


Yardage-league rankings


Positions available: quarterbacks | running backs | wide receivers | tight ends | placekickers | regardless of position
Total fantasy points are calculated as follows: TD passes (3 fantasy points each) + passing-yardage points (1 point for every 20 yards) + rushing/receiving TD's (6 points) + rushing- or receiving-yardage points (1 point for every 10 yards) + two-point passes (1 point) + two-point scores (2 points). For kickers, total fantasy points = 18-39-yard field goals (3 fantasy points each) + 40-49-yard field goals (4 points) + 50-plus-yard field goals (5 points) + extra points (1 point).

Positions available: quarterbacks | running backs | wide receivers | tight ends | placekickers | regardless of position


Other variations available: on grass | on turf | at home | on the road
Pre-2006: Fantasy points per game played are calculated using the same scoring system as in skill-position scoring above.
Beginning in 2006: Fantasy points per game played are calculated using the same scoring system as in yardage-league scoring above.

I have to admitt, as much as most fans get tired of the edunc act and the Reeves love affair, we shouldn't stoop to that level, and instead of crushing Reeves because he's backed by a disliked individual, we should all do this, but I will start out by saying, wow!

Former superstar Marion Jones stripped of her medals, local track star reacts

The Olympic medals won by former superstar Marion Jones were formally stripped away today by the International Olympic Committee at its meeting in Switzerland.


But that is not all. The IOC has banned her from the games in China next summer and possibly beyond.


When former Olympian Marion Jones plead guilty in October to lying about her steroid use, she also handed back the five medals she had won in Sydney at the 2000 summer games.


"I want you to know that I've been dishonest...I have let my country down. I have let myself down," former Olympian Marion Jones said.



Wednesday, the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee formally stripped Jones of those medals, banned her from Beijing next summer and said it might ban her for life as either athlete or coach.


"But we reserve the right to decide about the future after Beijing, after the completion of our enquiry at the level of the BALCO case," President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge.



The BALCO case refers to the company near San Francisco that supplied Jones and other high-profile athletes with performance enhancing drugs, which Jones now admits using prior to winning three golds and two bronze medals in Sydney.
The IOC postponed a decision on redistributing Jones' medals.
It also postponed a decision on what happens to the other medals won by her eight relay teammates.


Mission Prep track star Jordan Hasay followed Jones and was a fan.
"I know that her coach was involved in the bulk of the case, but I always thought she was innocent because she would keep claiming that she was, so I'm kind of surprised and upset," said Mission Prep junior Jordan Hasay.


Marion Jones will be sentenced next month for lying to federal investigators about her steroid use.


She faces up to six months in jail.

I really like Reeves and think he has done a great job, but showing a video of how fast he is compared to linebackers after not being in position to tackle the guy in the first place? He took a horrible angle and ran into blockers and was able to catch up in the end I guess.
