I would love to see Bill Vinovich again.
Vinovich was the referee in last night's game. His crew very regularly calls the least amount of pentalties.

Even if they miss a couple calls that would help the Cowboys out, I absolutely love when the refs just let the players play and only throw flags when infractions are obvious.

Vinovich is among a handful of more conservative crews who are more judicious when it comes to penalties. Other crews I'd be okay with are Tony Corrente, Brad Allen, and Jerome Boger.

It's absolutely sad to say, but I truly believe we will lose the game if snot-nosed Shawn Hochuli is our ref. He's the notorious moron who worked the Raiders-Cowboys game. If he refs our game(s) in the playoffs and decides to throw 28 flags again, I'm going to be beyond livid. Just do a Twitter search for Hochuli -- every single fanbase despises him. His crew routinely makes arbitrary and incompetent calls.

It's not just Hochuli's crew that concerns me, though. The Alex Kemp, Carl Cheffers and Land Clark crews also love to see themselves on TV. These three crews haven't made nearly the amount of exceedingly terrible calls as Hochuli has, but still, they're liable to ruin a game.

BUT! BACK TO THE POINT OF THE POST:

The referees should never be a factor in outcomes of games, but in 2021, it's an unfortunate reality that they are a facor. We shouldn't have to worry about who is calling our games, but I legitimately feel the referee assignment could alter the outcome.

Yes, I understand, and partially agree with, the sentiment that says good teams should overcome bad calls. But the NFL is already hard. A referee shouldn't make it even more difficult.

Let's pray we get one of the more conservative crews in the playoffs.

Just don't let Hochuli's crew anywhere near the playoffs.

If the NFL really does objectively grade each crew based on performance, and only the best crews get to call playoff games, Hochuli most definitely should be sitting at home
I think you're right about that. Can't see Hochuli's crew getting past the regular season. Thing is, we're not privy to the league's officiating grades. They used to give his dad playoff games...hope they don't assign based on DNA.

I think Hochuli's crew also worked the atrocious TB game. That's two games we could have won.
