Twitter: Ref Tony Corrente on the OPI on Michael Gallup

This is why everytime the cowboys make a big play i never get excited

as soon as the flag came out i just knew it was holding on us

turns out i was wrong it was just PI on us

My beer drinking buddy, diehard Rams fan, was next to me at the bar. He hit my shoulder and said "I'm sorry, but that was a BS call."

Didn't help **** but I figured I'd share regardless.

What did he say about not calling hands to the face of Goff or roughing the passer that directly resulted in an INT for us and led to points? Did they bring up the non call holding against Donald about 3 plays after that?

the refs missed calls for both sides tonight

but of course as a cowboys fan that OPI hurt my loins

Same answer for these ... they suck and are inconsistent

No doubt about that. One of the main reasons I’ve been less and less excited for games over the past 4-5 years is due to the missed calls inconsistent application of penalties, and rule changes. I’m sick of seeing the outcome of games be determined by the officials and not the players.

BUT...it is league wide and happens to every team, every game. I can’t stand the whining and crying. Several times immediately after the INT I brought up how the Rams got screwed in the live game thread, Mind you, this was before the offensive PI, and I didn’t get one response. Not a single, “yeah that was a bad call” or yeah “we for away with a big one there”...nothing.

As soon as we got screwed the tears started flowing, the officials were crooked, never want us to win, Goodell blah blah blah.

Easy to see in replay but in real time and with ramsey's sell job it was correct. That's what the ref saw, arm extended, ramsey sold him on desperation so it looked legit to him.

It definitely stung a little more due to the circumstances but every game is going to be like this. Some will go our way, some won’t. If we lose people will cry about it for days and years, if we win it won’t even be an after thought on this site but on the Rams forums it will front and center.

I agree. This 1 call didn't loose the game, just didn't help either.
