Its pretty clear in watching todays boring games that the NFL has made their Referees role too big in todays NFL. Numerous flags in the Philadelphia game constantly interrupting the game flow and making a boring game worse.

Then upon replay they overturn a TD in a close Jets/Panthers game on a catch/no catch play for Safarien -Jenkins TD. They bring on the good Blandino to waste more time and overturn a play in with both announcers call a TD.

Its come to the point that NFL referees want just as much TV time as players. They need to take Blandino and those like him off the air and quit slowing down the game as we once knew it. They are part of the problem in todays declining NFl

I've been in favor of instant replay, but to correct obvious mistakes. It's gotten to the point where we're looking for things no ref would ever see with the naked eye. That's a far cry from fixing obvious mistakes. It makes a game slowed to a crawl by endless commercials, even slower.

If you think it's bad in the NFL, it's 20x worse in college where every single play is subject to review.

I like the concept of replay, though. But it's not as well implemented as it should.
