Its pretty typical and easy to come in here and cry after a loss. I refuse to do. The first page on this board is pathetic with all the crying threads.

Give it a break.

Not getting 3 was big.
TO and his drop was big... enough is enough he needs to catch those.

O-line stunk it up.

I relegate myself to CONSISTENT DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADER... skirt and all LOL....

No crying. We are in the playoffs no matter what. Anything can happen.

Lets be realistic... when we changed QB's we would have been happy with just playing well.... we have secured playoff birth in week 15 and control our own destiny. The division title would have been nice and is still not out of reach.

In Summary. We are in the playoffs. That was the goal. All else doesnt matter yet.

BTW: Timbo, I await your eagles avatar. I lost the bet and will use avatar for one week. When we win the division you can have it back

Dude, we blew a two-game lead in December to a team that was 5-6 and saddled with a backup qb. There are no silver linings. None.

Well, if there is a silver lining, I'll be using it to hang myself after this.

Dude... we have gone 6-3 w/ a QB that never started a game.
Dude... we were 4-4 and almost 3 games out of first.

Its not over. Nothing is over.

Run the hot bath water and get the razor blade ready if you want... I aint getting in... you can if you want.

it's not the Loss so much...

it's that someone forgot to tell our team we had a game to play today.

a rather important game.

i guess it's asking too much for my team to at least "show up" and be competitive...

:banghead:

We gave away home field to the Saints

We gave away the NFC East to the Iggles.

You figure it out.

your optimisism is annoying!! why cant people see this team needs fixing?? this is not a playoff team, we got owned so many times already. Something needs to be done, you are one of those fans that are happy probably because you like our uniforms.

Dude, no matter how you slice it, this is a choke job. We had higher aspirations than the WC, remember? Next week's games should have been meaningless in terms of the NFC East. But we just can't stand success.

Of all the zoners you and superpunk bring me the most joy. You are always making me laugh.

Now let me stop laughing for a second and ask you a serious question. Do you really believe the Falcons are going to beat the Eagles next week? You do realize that has to happen for the Cowboys to win the division. I'm not writing the Falcons off, they definitely have a shot, but I don't see it happening.

I hate to be an optimist...but it really is over for us for this season...
and the reason is that despite having a lot of talent and being able to pull off a big win every now and then....
we can't string more than one or two good games together if our lives depended on it.
So we'll be pretty fortunate to get a win in the playoffs period, let alone 2 or more. We're just not consistent enough and our coaches don't know how to crank up their preparation or crank up our players to play with some fire and heart.

Well we are a playoff team because we have qualified for a post season berth.

well, it does seem that we have been playing better on the road as of late so playing on the road in the playoffs may not be such a bad thing.

Well you lost to Tennessee, Giants and Jaguars at home and the Falcons are far better on the road than at home.

In addition, it seems that teams that beat us tend to slack off the next week.

We didn't give it away. They took it.

This team really isn't that good, if you ask me.

Most Cowboys fans believed the hype but look at what we have going against us.

1. A patch-work offensive line. Remember, this was the offensive line that got Bledsoe killed. Granted, that was partly Bledsoe's fault, but after we inserted Romo, it seemed as if the offensive line got better. But this is the same offensive line. It just took teams longer to figure it out and how to play Romo.

2. No pass rush. Remember, Ellis is out and Ware is our only pass rusher, and defenses scheme against him.

3. A quarterback of the future. About the only blemish on Romo's resume is that he panics when the Cowboys get behind. But that's not on him as much as it is on the play-calling. At leastin the Saints and Eagles game, the game was still in reach where we could call more running plays. But we put the game in Romo's hands, and he was either getting a good pass rush or the receivers weren't getting separation. During one replay, NBC showed how all three of his options were covered, and he didn't throw the ball. That tells me he can see plays and not rush decisions when he has the time and when he's not playing from behind.

We need to focus on the offensive line during the offseason. That is our number one priority, assuming a pass rusher isn't available when we pick. We really don't have any young offensive studs to groom. Shaun Andrews would have been a Cowboy had he remained for Dallas' pick - the one we traded away in the first-round trade. We passed Marcus McNeil, who would have been a good young stud (I understand why, though).

We've just got to get better, and we have too many fossils on that line.
We need a pass rusher. We need a veteran free safety and we need a running back with better cutting ability than Julius Jones.

Oh and we need to improve the receiving corp.

We still have a ways to go. But we accomplished the goal I expected for this team which was to make the playoffs. Everything beyond that will be gravy as far as I'm concerned.

This is still a very young team in the making.

It would be normal for teams to not be as good/efficient the week after playing Dallas. Their quarterback, for one, would revert to concerning himself with an oncoming pass rush.

As for the last two losses, they were both at home to teams we might see in January (if we're lucky to get that far) and Dallas was really never in either game. Sure, the score would indicate we had a fighting chance, but anyone who watched this club vs. the Saints or Eagles knows full well the score could have been much worse.

The last four weeks, this club has surrendered an average of 428 yards and 28 points per contest.

I don't believe folks are sprinting to the ledge, but there is definite cause for alarm. Not concern. Alarm.

If we should meet for yet a third time in one season are you confident that you can beat us again?

I would gladly trade the meaningless season sweep for the playoff victory over the eagles.

As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with this.

I don't consider it crying from those of us who expected this team to beat Philly (minus McNabb) AT HOME FOR THE NFC EAST TITLE. This team had destiny in it's control AT HOME as far as the division and showed up and played like that. It's not crying. It's reality. People need to take off the rose-colored glasses and realize this team has underachieved and that as a fan that cannot be accepted. I think Jerry gets it. Some fans here don't. It's called denial.
