I've been checking out fan forums on every team that still has hopes to get in the playoffs. No matter how slim of a chance there may be that their teams can even make it in, I see one common trend....Excitement. Excitement, hope and optimism that they have a chance to watch their respective teams in the playoffs.

Here are our Cowboys controlling their own destiny. We can make the playoffs and more - Yet it's difficult to find optimism around these parts. Those 2011 Super Bowl Champion Giants were 3-5 in their final 8 games; with 2 of those 3 wins at the end of the season to just make it in.

Yes, I know, the Giants did it by leaning on their defense. Who's to say we can't do the same by leaning on our offense?

I understand and feel everybody's reason for kinda hangin' their head after these last two games, and all our creative ways of losing.

I also see just a few plays that if they had gone the other way...Everyone would be feeling a lot differently right now.

Perhaps those few plays just may start going the right way for us.

I hold out the same excitement, hope and optimism that I see with every team that has a chance to get in the playoffs. A brand new season begins in the playoffs.

I see our weaknesses, yet I also see our strengths. I sure as heck don't want to be sitting around on Christmas Day knowing there is only one week left of watching my team play. I don't want to be sitting around on New Years Day knowing my team has been eliminated from the playoffs.

A brand New Year with our Cowboys in the playoffs. I want that sweet taste of success to kick off the New Year.

It's been tough on all of us. It was equally as tough surviving the 1980's. But man, when our Cowboys made it to their first SB after all those years, it was the greatest feeling ever....Completely indescribable.

Us Cowboys fans here...Well we are all still here and we remain united. United in the Silver and Blue with a Star which will rise again.

Though even through all the differences or shared opinions on these boards. Through the ups and downs, a common team unites us all. Though I rarely post, I've been on this board since it opened and know each and every member here by reading all of your posts. You are my boys and gals...United in one team with one dream. There's a Super Bowl Trophy out there that hasn't been claimed by any team yet!

Therefore, I'm giving a "like" to every single fan on every single post on the three most current pages and hope the optimism spreads. Hey, I'm an optimistic guy by nature.

I love the positive vibe but considering our recent performances I think this team is beyond all hope and lose the last two games.

Everybody is a little down because it became crystal clear last Sunday that we have a complete idiot for a head coach..........you pick a fan out of the stands to coach the second half and we win..........440-1 is the record of teams in the position we were in and I am sure everybody can guess which side we are on, its not the 440 teams that managed to win, we are the only team in NFL history to blow a game under those exact conditions.

But I will play along.............................HELL YES WE ARE GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!

I'm with you. We have a chance. At some point we Will reach a defining turning point. That may have happened with the worst blown lead in our history.
Positive energy by the fans helping a team may be real. Maybe.

Now, theoretically 1 should beat 1a.

I can now officially say, "I've never met a person I didn't like".

And yup, I see the above viewpoints as well fellas. I was checking out the Aikman ratings and we have the 2nd most efficient offense and are now the least efficient defense.

C'mon offense...Pull us to and through the playoffs!!!! And C'mon defense get them turnovers and stop 'em in the RZ at the very least!!!

But sorry I can not in good conscience root for this team to sneak into the playoffs when we all know a New Orleans, Carolina or SF will destroy us and Garrett may get a 5 year extension for making the playoffs, hence throwing 5 more years in the crapper. No way, it is for the greater good of this team to get him out of hear asap. I can't believe the free pass that so many want to give him. Dude's he has been running this offense for 7 FRIGGEN YEARS!! It should be a well oiled machine right now! After 7 years there is still no identity and No commitment to the run, no feel for the flow of a game. It is horrible. Get it over with!

I totally agree. I want OP Fired, thrown out of the complex, & exiled from the State of Texas, Let him go back to Princeton and teach History. The Future starts for the Boys when OP and his playbooks are REMOVED FOREVER.

People said the same thing when Seattle got in with a 7-9 record a couple years ago. SB defending Saints came into town. Nobody thought Seattle had a chance. You never know.

There are many reasons to not like this team, but until they are out of the playoffs I am rooting for them to get there.

But I do hate Jerry and we are talking Sith Lord, dark-side move crap with my mind type hate. No positive posts will change that.

In spite of the seemingly endless injury reports, I think there are still many Zoners who believe we have a good chance to beat the Commanders. But, it always takes a little longer to rebound from an especially crushing defeat, and this is just one of those times.

If we can somehow manage to beat the Commanders and Eagles, maybe we'll get a few players back for the playoffs.

I would be on board if the few plays you speak of were just a matter of bad luck. Unfortunately they were just a matter of stupid decisions and where I come from there is no cure for that. I understand your optimism though.

I hope we win I really do. You have to think the law of statistics would be on our side for once. It would be nice to win the next two games. A couple of forced punts in the next two games should give us a glimmer of HOPE.
