After suffering a season-ending ACL injury when slipping on concrete surrounding the field at Edward Jones Stadium in a Week 8 loss to the Rams and hiring an attorney shortly thereafter, San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush has officially filed a lawsuit against the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.

I wonder if being part of the NFLPA will prevent him from actual doing it. Surely the CBA covers stuff like this.

The nfl doesnt own the stadiums...and owners almost always lose slip-and-fall cases...I'd say he stands a good chance to win

Interesting. This has to be the first time a player has sued an opposing team for a stadium "defect," correct?

He has a good case, imo.

It really depends...not enough information in the yahoo article to tell.

It states someone else fell, but is there record they notified them? If so, on the day reggie slipped, were signs posted about it being slick? Two important questions.

I am pretty sure he cannot sue the Rams but looking at the filing, he is not suing the Rams. He is suing the Convention Authorities who operate and manage the dome, not the team itself.

I expect they will try to get the lawsuit dismissed based on the logic that "this ain't on us, it's on the Rams, and you can't sue the Rams."
