What do you guys think? Chances are we won't retain Felix and we all know about Murray's injury woes. Bush has been pretty durable for the last 2 seasons and put up 1000 yards two years ago and close to it again last year. He won't be the feature back but if he's cheap enough, we could definitely use him. He's had somewhat of a resurgence with a Dolphin team with a lot less talent than ours.

Wouldn't be against it. The guy can also actually catch the football unlike Felix.

Waste cap money on a position of lesser needs? No way

He will not be cheap.....

I don't want a veteran running back in here for more than the veteran minimum

Too much $$. If we somehow get the money to sign a FA, it has to go towards OL/DL, period.

How expensive is he going to be? He's an old running back. They're typically worth little more than a bag of chips. Even the good ones.

I agree that OL/DL are two of our top priorities but I honestly think we can find value at those positions in the draft.

I wouldn't be so quick to think that RB isn't just as big a need as OL/DL.

Last years running back totals: (granted I know injuries played a factor)

Felix Jones - 402 yards
Phillip Tanner - 61 yards
DeMarco Murray - 663 yards

Reggie Bush, if nothing else, would certainly eclipse the production of Tanner and Jones combined and provide a lot more versatility as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

Hmmmm ... Well I guess him and Miles would have something in common ....

I would take bush but not at what he's seeking. He's going to want to be a starter and make big money. He'll get it from a team like the lions.

I am not going to lie and say he will cost "x" amount of dollars, I don't know. I think it will be quite abit more than vet mini though.

FA money needs to be spent more wisely on a S, OL or a DL first. Less splash and more substance. He would end up being irrelevant in this offense, maybe Felix 2.0? We need blocking in a much worse way

The vet back I want is Chris Ivory. He should be much cheaper.

Ya I doubt he comes with a huge price tag. He's not that great.

I think the idea behind cutting Felix, if that were to happen, would be to free up cap. Signing Bush, IMO, would not accomplish that.

There are several decent backs coming out this year. I, personally, would rather see us draft a younger guy and take advantage of the cap savings. JMO.

I think it depends on Bush's price tag.

IMO, I think Garrett wants to have a better running team. We probably need two more RBs. I think we get 1 in the Draft. I would like to see one vet - who at least can pick up blocking schemes, catch the ball out of the backfield, etc. For some rookies, getting blocking schemes correct is tough to do (or rookie FB, as we all know).

Thought he is going to be a FA

Aren't you the guy complaining about offensive line all year long? We need to focus on the trenches, save the accessories for another time.

I'd rather get a fresh RB coming out of College.

Plus does anyone trust Garrett to think outside of the box with this type of player? Thats a big fat no.
