The Giants came. They saw. And the Eagles conquered.

It is time to now gaze ahead to the Cowboys, who arrive in Philadelphia Sunday night with first place in the NFC East on the line. Eagles coach Andy Reid was asked about the 5-2 Cowboys today, who have won three straight.

“I think they’re playing aggressive," Reid said at his day-after news conference. "I think their offensive line and defensive line are playing very physical football. They’re giving [Cowboys QB] Tony [Romo] time to get back there and throw and then they match it with a good running game. Defensively, they’re flying around. [Cowboys head coach] Wade [Phillips] has taken over. They’re blitzing from all over the place. They have a whole variety of different blitzes. They’re utilizing everybody there.”

The 5-2 Eagles are fairly healthy heading into the Dallas game. Reid said that Brian Westbrook (concussion), who missed Sunday's game, should be back practicing by Wednesday. That doesn't mean the running back will be ready to go against the Cowboys, however.

"We're going to make sure that he's okay to perform," Reid said. "We're not going to do anything to put him in jeopardy."

Based off the run game's performance against New York, Reid may not need to rush Westbrook back.

Linebacker Chris Gocong has a quadriceps contusion and a hamstring strain, according to Reid, and is day-to-day. Defensive end Chris Clemons, who left the Giants game with a shoulder injury, is OK.

Defensive end Victor Abiamiri is still recovering from a knee strain and wide receiver Kevin Curtis (knee) is most likely out for the Dallas game.

Man do I hate the Eagles. Everyone on this team should want to give a little extra this week so we can kick their *** for retrobution for the mess in the last game last year. I may be the minority here but I think we handle them fairly easily next weekend. I really do.

Cover Jackson. It's that simple.

The rest of these guys are chumps.

That is a huge mistake. Celek, Maclin, Westbrook, McCoy and Weaver will stomp the **** out of us if all we focus on is Jackson (throw McNabb in there, too).

If it were actually that easy, the Eagles would be 0-7.

I wouldn't call them chumps, but we need to be very physical with them at the line. They're fast, but small. I love Mike Jenkins in this game. We need to be up in thier grills all game long. I don't believe their WR's can beat press coverage on a consistent basis.

Pressure McNabb, get in his face and all else falls into place.

Yep, Mcnabb like most QB's dont fucntion well under constant pressure. We have to bring the heat this week.

I expect the Cowboys to play loose. The pressure is on Philly to hold par at home.

He falls apart when hurried. Give him time and he will kill you.

I will never forget the play where he had 14 seconds against us to throw the ball.

We need to knock the Chunky Soup out of him.

I have to disagree agreeably. I think this game will be the toughest game to date. Dallas should have beaten NY and Denver. We are catching the Eagles when they are hitting on all cylinders and they are healthy. Plus they are at home and I hate the crowd in Philly. I would be estatic if the Cowboys won by ONE point and with no injuries.

Tampa 2 and try to outscore (for this game). The defense that takes too much risk will be that of the loser.

This. Not only pressure him, make sure you get him on the ground. He's not as maneuverable as he once was, but he can still slip tackles.

2nd favorite of the season, with the Giants being number one.
I love these games and I hope our guys are as riled as I am. :)

No other game during the season has the gravity of NY and Philly games, not even the 'Skins. I don't sleep well after the games, win or lose; I'm so wound up tight during the build up. When those two teams are good, these games are great.

Philly is good and will provide a good game.

I agree. I wonder if we will use Carpenter to spy on McNabb. For that matter Brooking, too.

Certain things should not bother you, this would be one of those things. You should learn to keep your emotions in check, you will live a lot longer.
