Reid's Oldest Son Arrested Again

I know Andy and Tammy Reid. You're wrong on this. These boys made bad decisions on their own as adults.

Just because they're good people doesn't mean they're good parents.

And I'm pretty sure you aren't/weren't around them 24/7 for the last 20 years so you have no idea how good of a parent they are.

If it were ONE kid having trouble, then maybe it's just a coincidence. But both kids are screwups. And they have been for awhile. That points to the parents. And with Reid's job, there's no way he was around enough to be there for his kids. There just simply isn't enough time in a day.

Don't really care either way. They aren't cowboys or cowboys' kids so it is what it is.

Yeah, you know better than me. What the hell was I thinking?

I expect repsonses like this from Nors, not you.

Since when is your word gospel?

You said you knew them, not that you lived with them the last 20 years. I've known one of my best friends for about 20 years, but I couldn't and WOULDN'T begin to assume that I know what kind of a father he is. He's a great guy, but I don't know if he is or isn't a great father.

And here's a  right back at ya, big guy.

If I had replied in Norish you would of needed a Norish Decoder Ring to decipher it.

Don't know man. You sound like his echo from this previous thread. Same tone. Same arrogance.

But you guys are right. What the hell would I know about 2 people that I've met and you've read about?

I met Avery Johnson once.

Doesn't mean I'm qualified to determine whether or not he's a good father.

But then you have the ability to judge a QBs mechanics based on one still photograph, so maybe I'm out of my league here?

:D, sorry Hos, had to do it.

Do what? Echo someone you detest? I read the 5 you'd invite to dinner thread.

No apologies necessary. I stand by what I know on mechanics. You think it's ridiculing me. I don't.

You are taking my post totally out of context.

It was important to mention that he was 24 years old to help establish my contention that he was an adult and HE, not Andy Reid was responsible for his decisions.

Nowhere in my post did I even hint that Andy Reid shouldn't care because of the age of his son.

- Mike G.

You took my post out of context too because I wasnt responding to your post in any way. That was my opinion. No sarcasm.

Reids son is 24 years old. I understand that in some way he should care. But the man is 24.

If he were 15-21 it would be different imo. But you cant control what a 24 year old does on his own time.

Absolutely none of this is Andy Reids fault imo.

Deep breaths, Hos. Deep breaths.

And I don't care if you are the universe's leading scholar on QB mechanics, you can't make a determination regarding a QB's mechanics based on one still photograph.

That is, unless you are god.

All hail, Hos.

I'm not going to debate blame here. I will say that Andy Reid has a tough job coaching the Eagles and this event has to make that job even more difficult. Could anyone here maintain focus on the job through this kind of event? I might be at the job, but my ability to focus would suffer. Maybe this won't affect the Eagles as a team, but I'll wager Reid is not having much fun these days.

Funny, I wonder if Andy Reid himself would agree that he did nothing wrong and it's all on his kids.

They may be 24 and 22 now, but somehow I doubt they only started having problems right when they crossed the threshold of legal age.

Rack;1737694 said:
Why? He's obviously not much of a father. If you should "Feel" for anyone it should be the kids themselves as they've obviously not had much guidance from their father.

That's not necessarily true..... my dad wasn't the best in the world and my two brothers and myself turned out pretty good....

We used his shortcomings as an example of what we DID NOT want to be.

I'll not share everything but I can tell you it was VERY VERY Rough growing up........

Part of the drug problem is that SO many- and some here- start off saying Pot is ok, should not be illegal, etc. Most studies show drug addicts usually START with pot and then move on to the harder stuff. Then Hollywood and others tend to glamorize drugs. Add to that peer pressure- a huge factor with teens. Not wanting to be alone, odd man out, DIFFERENT.
You are looked down on if you are not one of the "crowd".
Add to that the arrogance of youth. The stupidity of the young.

And on top of that this concept that somehow life is supposed to be "easy"

Im sure he wouldn't. Thats the nature of being human unless you just dont care about someone.

But its not his fault. No matter even if Andy Reid thinks he could have done something.

It wasnt his choice to do any of those things. It was his 24 year old sons choice.

Shows what you know, Arnold Schwarzenegger just told us that pot is not a drug.;)
