Thats true, although how many times has a TO team been on the winning side in the playoffs?

Philly won two NFC games with Owens hurt and out of the lineup. Maybe SF won a game once with him?

the one with the non-PI against the Giants i think, i really don't remember which way that one went now but i'm pretty sure TO was on that team. Those SF team had for more issues then TO that team has still not recovered.

Every situation is different though those SF teams where on the decline and after seeing McNabb throw his defense under the buss after the Cards loss you'll never convince me that TO was solely responsible for what happened in Philly either

I have said before I had mixed feeling about releasing Owens and felt if the staff could work with him fine if not then move on. It appears they can't work with him any longer. I will not deny the production that TO brought to the team we are talking 38 TD in 3 seasons, over 1,000 yards each year so to pretend we will not miss that production is naive. Dallas will have to find a way to spread the ball around more and develop a more consistent running game to help offset this loss in production

You are kidding me right? You think losing a horrible teammate like T.O. equates to losing?????? Look around at the league! We had the most talent with the worst results. Team wins over ME every day of the week. I feel like we now have a much better chance of having a winning season now!

When did we get 13 wins before him? I'm sorry but as much of a headache the guy was, releasing him doesn't somehow IMPROVE the TEAM or give us a better chance of winning.

Age caught up with TO. It happens quickly to a WR. One year their a Pro Bowler. The next year they can't get off the line. Everyone but SF figured out how to stop TO and he could not adapt. Our #1 WR had 8 games w/50 or less yards. Yet he's among the leaders in targets. The proof is in the numbers. Take out the SF game and he was "JAG".

For all the guys freaking out that we dont have any WRs now, chill.

Look at the playoff teams and tell me who had stud WRs. Defense and running game are wayyyyyyyy more important than having stud WRs.


Just look at the Titans, they went 13-3 with some of the crappiest WRs in the entire league. Their WR core is barely divsion 1 talent, but they had the best record in the NFL.


Same with Philly, other than the rookie Jackson, they have a pile of crap at WR. Yet, they go to the NFC title game like every other year.


My point..........we dont need TO to be a great team.

I agree.

This team is loaded with proven offensive playmakers (Witten, Barber, and Williams) and have several young players ready to step up and contribute. We've been preaching a run-oriented offense all off-season so here it is.

You cannot compare us to the Titans or Ravens b/c Redball doesn't seem to know we have RBs on the roster! Even w/ our backs Romo still chucked it around about 30X a game. I hope & pray he adjusts his philosophy and makes us a more balanced offense next season being as he's probably the one that ended up getting Owens kicked off the island!
