Those of you expecting 65 catches for 800 yards and 6 TD's from Terrance Williams in his rookie season need a reality check. I'm not saying he is or isn't ready to be relied on heavily in this offense, but the fact is we probably won't get a chance to find out this year. While it looks like he has a strangle hold on a starting position, he'll often go unnoticed for most of the season, unless defenses fall asleep on him. Fact is, even if he's an all world talent, he's behind these guys in terms of Romo's pass distribution:
1. Dez
2. Witten
3. Austin

And once these guys are passed up, will likely see an even distribution between: Hanna, Harris and a RB out of the backfield.

Do the math on this one fellow Cowboy fans. The number of targets headed Williams way will be on the low end, unless there's something we don't know at this point. I'm ok with it as we all should be, since having Williams on the outside will facilitate the move of Austin to the slot, which has the Cowboys salivating. If you're an opposing defense how are you going to stop Dez on the outside, Witten in the middle and Austin in the slot, while keeping an eye on the rest of the Cowboys receivers? Needless to say, I'm very excited about the Cowboys passing offense this year!

Hanna, Escobar and the 12 package should also help the production on this team...Hanna and Escobar are serious mis-matches for opposing defenses, especially if they can substitute out freely to match when these TE's come in the game (ie: if the opponent's LB's are 3-down LB's); should/could be exciting to watch

I think he'll get about the same numbers as Ogletree last year.. About 30 catches, 300-400 yards, and 3-4 touchdowns.

With his talent he'll make the most of his opportunities when he sees the field.

A lot of factors influence the number of targets 3rd WR gets. Game situations, his own health, injuries to other players, earning his QB's trust. He may very well not produce any more than Ogletree did, but let's hope his efficiency is more like Robinson's. If he puts up yardage and TD totals like Ogletree's but does it with 90-100 passer rating on his targets (as opposed to Ogletree's 70 rating) then he'll help his team.

Williams biggest contribution will be him allowing Austin to move to the slot, where he will be a nightmare. I'm not expecting huge numbers from him this year.

Nothing against Williams per se, but this is why I didn't understand the Escobar and Williams picks over offensive and defensive linemen. The ball needs to go to Dez 90-100 times for us to succeed.

Im upset with Williams technique right now. A lot of wasted motion and I don't understand how it hasn't been fixed.

The physical ability is clear as day though.

Anyways Rank these 3.

All I expect is for him to step up and make the plays when the ball comes his way. I have no number that I am putting on him in terms of catches or TD. What I care about is this group of players becoming a team not a bunch of individals. Go out help the team put the team 1st and win ball games. Do that and all the individal accolades will come. We have some very good players it is time to become a TEAM

He's a stinking rookie! Give him a break.

Think of him as one of five guys (maybe six) in an outstanding Cowboys WR stable. That's all.

I re-watched the Cincinnati game and on that play Romo nearly through the interception that was a PI Romo was saying something to WIlliams.

I think he has the most upside of any of our guys but he didn't play in a pro style offense in college and missed a couple weeks of camp. I don't know if you can trust him to run the right route at this point.
