Does he count 6.6 million against the cap this year?

With that being said, I dont think Roy will do it. The fact that he said in his interview the other day that he feels he belongs in a 4-3 system told me all I needed to know.
I cut his arse and send a message to the rest of the players that all this half-arse play is going to stop and stop now. It is time to start putting some fear into these players that think this is summer camp and everybody gets a participation ribbon.
Besides, Roy freakin blows. He was one of my favorite players and I bought his jersey his rookie year. He was a freaking beast and would just lay people out right and left.
He is now a shell of his former self. He plays scared, cant cover for jack, and he doesnt even hit anybody anymore. He just goes for an arm tackle and thats it, no attempt at all to blow up anybody.
Freaking pathetic what he has become.......a JAG.

I don't see how you can definitively define him based off of last season. Maybe "Roy's PR Team" has just resigned itself to the fact that you can't argue with these people. Probably shouldn't have brought it up...:
I don't consider myself part of Roy's PR team, but I don't get what there is to debate anymore. It's not about his play on the field anymore, because he was barely on the field last year. To me, it's all about dollars and cents.peplaw06;2628338 said:What I don't get is that there doesn't seem to be as much debate on this guy as there was last offseason. I've been labeled part of the PR team in the past. BTW, we would make an outstanding PR firm!!!WoodysGirl;2628388 said:I don't consider myself part of Roy's PR team, but I don't get what there is to debate anymore. These should be the factors the 'boys are weighing:
$6 million cap figure
Renegotiate or cut
Safety depth
I think they're going to draft another safety regardless of what they do with Roy, because Watkins and Davis have proven to be good backups. Davis is an UFA.
Word is Courtney Brown is afraid of contact. Probably his last training camp.
The Trae Bell dude is a ST demon, but not sure of his starting potential at the moment.
Safeties in draft
Haven't been following the candidates much, but it's obvious to me they should draft one.

You want to cut a guy that hasnt produced in 5-6 years? What the heck man?
Focus - we want to cut the guy that is still producing at a high level, but has lost alot of steps and is old.
I do the arguing and you negotiate the contract.peplaw06;2628400 said:I've been labeled part of the PR team in the past. BTW, we would make an outstanding PR firm!!!
They'd save $4 million by cutting him.But I admit that I don't know what the cap hit would be if we outright cut him. If we can restructure him, and he'll agree to it, then by all means. I'm all for saving money here if we can use it somewhere else.
