As great as he is playing now, no one can keep it up at that high a level.
He will do worse; the question is at what level will he perform at in an average game. If he can maintain a plus 90 rating that is all we should ask for. Tony Romo, put together with Carson Palmer and Phillip Rivers, seem to now really make the case that its good to sit a young QB down for at least a year and make him watch and study. Meanwhile, the QB's that were thrown in there: Roths, Eli, Leftwich, Harrington, Carr. Very big contrast.

Roethlisberger is not a good example. His biggest struggles have come this year after his motorcyle accident and appendectomy.

While sitting a quarterback a few years is preferrable, starting a young quarterback is all about how much he can digest and the team assembled around him.

Roethlisberger had that. Most young quarterbacks don't have that.
