In another (no doubt futile) effort to provide some sanity to the madness in here, here is a rundown on the remaining schedules for the NFC East:

  • Dallas' remaining opponents are a combined .491 thus far (27-28). We have 7 home and five away games remaining.
  • Philadelphia's remaining opponents are .510 (26-25). They have 5 homes and 6 aways.
  • NYG's remaining opponents are .527 (29-26). They have 6 homes and 6 aways.
  • Washington's remaining opponents are a whopping .608 (31-20). The Commanders' last six opponents are: Carolina, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New Orleans, StL, and NYG. They have 6 homes and 5 aways.
As you can see, we have the easiest remaining schedule on both counts.

This probably the best news of 'over-reaction' Monday.

Who is "you"? NYG? They'll have to do it against tough opponents.

Umm, Dallas?

Win your home games, go 7-1 (Indy loss?)

Split your road games, go 4-4 (Jax, Philly, Wash/NYG, and Car/ATL)

That's 11-5 and playoffs.

Means nothing, every team is professional. Therefore any team can beat Dallas.

It wasn't clear from your original reply since we can't "split" our remaining away games as there are five remaining so I thought you might be talking about NYG. Anyway, I hope you're right. At this stage I'd happily settle for 10-6, which I think is very doable.

The one that is over looked is as horribly as this team played yesterday and make no mistake it was ugly the Eagles still barely won the game and had to get a last minute gift from Bledsoe to avoid overtime.

And we can beat them as well because we're professional so that means everybody goes 8-8 because everybody can beat everybody because they're all professional. My God, you're right! It's all meaningless!

Well, yeah, I got that. Did you get my point -- that over the course of the season some teams win more than others, no doubt because they're better? So you'd rather play teams with losing records than winning records, right?

Well, we're 1-2 on the road. So split means 4-4 overall so 3-1 the rest of the way.

@ NYG
@ Wash
@ Car
@ Atlanta

Have to win 3 and take care of business at home.

Actually, to split we'd need to go 3-2 from here out. You forgot the Arizona game.

You mean 1-2 (3) plus 3-1 (4) isn't 8? lol

That's good then I forgot it.

Lost to NYG or Wash and Car or ATL and we're fine.

Just have to go 6-2 or better at home. We can go 8-0, though. Indy cannot stop the run.

The bottom line is we have the easiest remaining schedule in the division. Whether or not we take advantage of it remains to be seen but a little doom and gloom goes a long way.

Everyone gets all worried because they blitzed us well in a game that was their biggest of the year now we have people thinking Mario Williams will have 15 sacks and the Texans can suddenly beat us?
