Remake of "The Birds"

I agree with all of you... but it is smart on their part.

Anyone that would not look at an "old movie" may go to see a NEW movie... even if its a remake.
 
I can see doing a remake to bring it to a new generation

but that's if it hasn't been done a million times over already, up to including remaking current, foreign films
 
Hollywood has always been about the re-make or making lots of sequels. The Thin Man had many sequels. Look at all the Road movies with Crosby and Hope. Even John Wayne was involved in a sequel as the character Rooster Cogburn. I also really have never seen much difference between Rio Bravo and El Dorado.

I do think hollywood seems to use remakes and sequels a bit more these days, but it is a formula that hollywood has embraced since they started shooting movies.
