Oh my goodness....what happened to him? I remember reading that he was going through some financial challenges a few years ago, but this is a health issue. Which he apparently can not afford.........sad

Jimmy should have pulled Troy in the SB; he was clearly still not all the way back from his concussion in the NFCCG.

Wasn't that also the year there was only 1 week between championship game and Super Bowl? Troy was in lala land after that game. I think we would have still won with Bernie too. Our run game and defense helped a ton. But coaches tend to want to start their starter in the SB. No better example than in 1972 when Earl Morrall played every game from week5 up until the 2nd half of the championship game and the SB. Might have been better to just keep Earl in there.
