that coach gibbs has to tell the players to tone down when they scored 30+ points also against us. The defensive coordinator knows Drew so well that (was his head coach), they just attack that weakest link. Now do they have a clue ? things are interesting now...
I like the part that while cowboys penalties (plenty tonite man!) are hurting the momentum, Romo are unfazed by it, and keep going on as if he has the faith of his teamates will make plays !

It's never as good or bad as it seems...

With that said, the thing I like about Romo is I didn't notice any particularly disturbing tendacies from him tonight. Now, I'm no scout or coach, but it seemed to me like he didn't show many traits that teams could really pick apart. He doesn't stare down receivers, always run in certain situations, lock on to one player, or get confused by certain schemes.

That's what makes me hope he's not some one-trick pony, that he can continue to succeed even when teams start getting film of him and attempt to pick his game apart.

To me, he made two mistakes tonight: A poor throw on a fade route and made a bad decision on what turned out to be a pretty freakish interception. You throw 35+ times and only have that to hang your head about and, ******, you played pretty well.

Amen and what is most impressive to me is his release (fast) and his decision making on when to pull the ball down (fast).

I wonder if Brunnell will be thinking about his job security now that Bill pulled Bledsoe and wondering how long before Gibbs sends him down.

I think if we win 2 more games straight, Drew will announce retirement.
If we need this "one step back" like Jerry said, to get two steps forward, definitely wise move.

I just love the accuracy, and the speed of his game. Not just how fast he gets the ball out, everything that goes with it. His progressions...I just keep thinking back to that Crayton TD last week. He makes great reads. The TD to Witten. The guy just plays with a swagger. He gets it done.

The only knock I've seen is trying to force short passes to guys who aren't open -- and not the bullet-into-a-tight-spot kind of pass, either. He's had three interceptions like that so far. Fortunately, he didn't throw another interception Sunday night after that early one.

Like I've been saying, our offense has been a top-five offense this season except for the costly interceptions we've thrown. If he can avoid those -- and that might be a big "if" -- then we'll be fine with him.

yeah, that half-arse, hope the guy gets it, flip, but it's obvious he's trying to curb his impulsiveness, which is good

THe only thing freakish about that pick was that it wasn't returned for a TD. If Gamble catches that cleanly instead of batting it 10 times he's gone, everyone needs to stop complaining about whether he was in bounds or not. Horrible throw

The way I see it Romo made very few mistakes against the Panthers in their own stadium in his very first start and only 3rd NFL game. I liked his quick decision making & equally quick release as well as his ability escape pressure and pick up some good yardage. The tempo of the game was also faster then we've seen in some time and he spread the ball around to all his WRs and TEs but certainly TO was a big target. That will keep TO happy and hopefully get even more production from him and force other teams to use extra bodies covering him--opening up even more for Glenn, Witten, etc.

Parcells and Jerry Jones have to be pleased with this win and Romo's performance. He certainly played as well as they (and I) could have hoped. Frankly, I didn't give us a snow ball's chance to win this game if Bledsoe had started & I'm a Bledsoe supporter from the get go. Bledsoe played well for us last year but certainly by Eagles game his deterioration in performance was noticeable--missed too many open receivers, etc.

It will also be interesting to see what defense Skins DC Greg Williams employs against Romo. Williams doesn't know anything more about Romo then what he's seen in films unlike his extensive knowledge about Bledsoe's weaknesses. I'm sure all our opponents will try capitalizing on his lack of playing experience but will have noticed his mobility in escape pressure. ertainly they would have rather played Bledsoe then Romo.

Certainly Romo appeared to be to play very much like a vet and not the inexperienced QB he really is. And props to our defense who certainly tighten up their play and really frustrated Jake and others.

If our OL could eliminte some of their penalties (by my count Gurode had 3) we might have taken over this game much earlier. Good play by Colombo & Kosier really opened up that hole for JJ--something LA couldn't have done in his last few years with us. Our OL isn't great by any stretch and Romo saved their butts many times but maybe this season isn't over for us like so many feared it might be. Don't know if we'll get to the playoffs but at least the Cowboy games will be lot more interesting.

My sole concern with Romo is the 'head-first' slide. We don't need an injury to our starting qb.
