A vet qb uses this time identifying the defensive coverage.
Another JG brilliant idea.
Pass, pass, pass, punt
go up 35-3 and find a way to lose against Aaron Rodgers's backup
ughhhhhhhh
either way, it was one of Lady JaGa's most famous signature losses. There were a few that season. Detroit same season also comes readily to mind.Dallas was up 26-3.
Come on you really don't think this was JG? Being THAT predictable?I don’t know if it was a Romo preference or a Garrett preference. I wonder if Garrett has Danny Dimes doing the same thing now?

keep in mind: The cowboys just needed to win 1 more game than they did to win the division and make the playoffs that year. And Aaron Rodgers wasn't playing.
I remember em both, especially the one in 2013. The holding penalty and Stafford sneaking it for the win. The historically awful defense playing historically awful coverage. Jeff Heath, Brandon Used Carr, Barry Church... ugh. Megatron going for like 340 yards or whatever it was. There were a couple of bad losses to Detroit. I think that was the year the Cowboys were running out the clock and got called for holding on a run play. Detroit had no timeouts. They declined the penalty and instead of around 20 seconds left, they had almost a minute. Ended up winning.
A few years prior they had a 27-3 lead on Detroit in the 3rd and blew that one too. But that loss was on Romo.
It was stupid. I remember our O line jumping offsides numerous times because they were waiting soooo long for the snap. I also, remember Romo clapping his hands frantically for the snap to no avail. Delay of game!Drove me nuts. Romo was really good at it. It let our O-Line know when to be set but also let the opposing defense know. But when playing with a lead it allowed us to chew up the clock.
Personally It drove me crazy, I couldn’t understand why we would wait until the last second to snap the ball. , I Love that they’re snapping the ball the moment they’re ready. Why all this motion trying to confuse the difference in the past. I think it’s so much more efficient just going to line snapping the ball and get on with the play. You’re less apt to have a penalty. and the defense is less likely to be prepared . I think it’s made a great difference in our execution

I understand totally. All I’m saying is it was nerve-racking lolI wanted them to snap it with 1 second vs the Panthers to milk the clock but they kept snapping it with ~10 seconds left.
Other than a situation like that, who gives a crap when they snap it? If the offense is effective, the offense is effective.
i didnt like it at all and couldnt stand it glad its not a thing with us
but the strategy behind it was to see the defense for what it truly was at 1 second you see the defense in its shell and know for sure what defense is being run because they cant audible anymore

he would be aaron rodgers. It took Tony Romo a while to un-do JG's crap play designs.
I would be willing to do terrible things to see 2009-14 peak Romo operaring Kellen Moore's offense.
