Penn was one of the disappointments of the 80's, along with Billy Çannon jr. and that corner, Rod Hill (I think that's what his name was).

It was around this time I realized that the cowboys had lost it's Draft advantage. Remember the cowboys were always associated with super computers. They we so visionary, always ahead of the game. They did everything different from everyone else and nobody even knew how to copy them.

Anyway here's a link to what he's up to.

I remember Penn, he was a small LB even for that time. What was his draft weight? I think it was under 220.

I don't know, as I recall, both Jessie Penn and Billy Cannon were injured before they ever really had opportunity. I know Cannon was. Rod Hill just sucked. No other way to put that.

I saw him play a softball game in San Antonio last year......I remember he hit a double.....
