Remember that Coin Toss in February

I forgot all about that coin toss until my co-worker, who is a Ravens fan, mentioned it. That was the coin toss between Balt and Dallas for the 16th or 17th pick. Whoever made the call on the coin toss for the Cowboys needs to be congratulated on winning it. My co-worker wanted the Ravens to take Zack Martin with that pick and they would have had it with the right call. Numerous mocks had Zack Martin going to Balt and it seems like there was interest in Martin from Balt.

We got the best player in the 2014 draft in Zack Martin in my opinion. And, perhaps all made possible with a little help from lady luck during a coin toss.

Anyone know who made the call heads or tails for the Cowboys?

Doesn't mean Baltimore would have taken him...and they got a pretty darn good player in Mosley

I prefer Martin.

But CJ Mosley at 17
Maybe Tim Jernigan or someone else in the 2nd
Gabe Jacksom in the 3rd

That'd be pretty good too

True, but Balt had a real need at OL. So, there was a good chance they would have taken him.

And, I'm guessing you aren't going to trade Zack Martin (the best player so far in the 2014 draft) for that 'pretty darn good player in Mosely.' I ain't. Living near Baltimore, I can assure you Baltimore fans would make that trade any time you want.

Wow, and I thought Garrett deciding to go for it on 4th-and-6 was the call of the year. You're in second now, Jason. You still have a chance to take the top spot this weekend, though.

I'm glad everything happened the way it did, but CJ Mosley would've been a great pick too.

Mosley is a pro bowler. They're happy. Fans pick LB over OL all day.

I can see Baltimore taking Mosley even if they had won the toss. That team doesn't seem to miss on it's defensive first rounders. Lewis, Suggs, Boulware and now Mosley, those are great picks. I don't know if I'm missing one of their LB picks but Ozzie doesn't miss a lot in the first on offense or defense.

Well, actually, no one picked heads or tails, the coin landed with the Dallas Cowboys star facing up. I guess God picked the winner of that. It sure is working out!

So special coin used. Nice. I hope Steven kept it and gave it to Martin as part of his signing bonus.

Not me. OL can change a team in only the best ways. Look at 90s Cowboys, 14 cowboys, San Fran. OL can take a average team and make them elite

No doubt. But as a fan, I just want to hit on my first round pick. At a position of need. They did that. I think they should be happy. They got a top 5 player.

If Pittsburgh does not pick Ryan Shazier at 15, we do at 16. We were lucky to pick up Martin.

I am just glad somebody in the Dallas Organization tied up Old Man Jones and told him NO to Manziel.

There's another level to the story. Them picking Mosely allowed them to give up on and trade Rolando McClain. Had they won the toss and taken Martin, they may have decided to keep McClain. We may not have either of them two if that coin went the other way. If that happened, Dallas probably would not have even played last Sunday.

Yes. Exactly.
