I thought this was about the the Raiders/ Bucs SB when the Bucs new the plays of the Raiders due to Chucky because Callahan never changed them.

Yah, Im the same way. Care more about losing than winning.

As far as football just play fantasy. Makes the NFL 10 times better.
Yep, that's another solid option. Gives you a reason to watch some of the more abysmal games.

1) Never trust a cop in a raincoat.
2) Beware of enthusiasm and of love, both are temporary and quick to sway.
3) If asked if you care about the world's problems, look deep into the eyes of he who asks, he will never ask you again.
4) Never give your real name.
5) If ever asked to look at yourself, don't look.
6) Never do anything the person standing in front of you can't understand.
7) Never create anything, it will be misinterpreted, it will chain you and follow you for the rest of your life.”
8) Never play cards or pool with anyone nicknamed after a city or state.
9) Never pick a fight with a guy who has cauliflower ears.

When I was a heavy gambler I still lived at home. I had zero bills. I could lose my entire paycheck and not suffer. At the time in the late 80s I made about 450 bucks a week after taxes. The reason I stopped gambling was because I moved out and had bills. But when I was living at home and didn't have any responsibilities I did very well. I won more than I lost. Probably because I had no fear. Once I moved out fear became an issue. I stopped heavy gambling sometime in the early 90s. I don't see the problem in what I do now. Other than it's bad to gamble in general.
Just a little taste of anything is fine every ow and then!

You only need the first four words of your first sentence. I liked number two, so I read the rest. Disagree with 4, and 7. But I can see why they're in there.

The NFL has a tiger by its tail with sports betting. They are coming down hard on the Calvin Ridleys and Jameson Williamses of the league, to show the public (and Congress, who grants them a sweet nonprofit tax exemption) that they are in control of it. But when you are openly courting BILLIONS of dollars in outside gambling money, there's no way that some of it won't flow in and affect the integrity of the game. JM2C.

They dropped the non-profit exemption years ago.

Wouldn't just be players, coaches, and ppl within a team org. To me it is what it is unless there is proof someone is flopping or betting against his team.

Y’all get taxed on bet winnings?

Makes me even more happy to live in Canada
Winnings = income. Thus income tax. But generally only over a set amount ($10K?)

How's that $6.30/gallon gas? (I'm paying $2.95/gal here in Texas). Since I'm driving into the Maritimes in 2 weeks I just checked the fuel costs. Can't wait! I'll fill up in Maine and then only have to pay those high prices for 1 tank there.

I don't place wagers. I hear that is a big business in the Northeastern US. I like sports for the pure . . . How is it said, oh yeah . . . "The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat".

Family-in-law visit. Not kin to the Irvings either.

Driving from Texas. This should be interesting although I've made the drive from Bangor Maine twice back to Texas, once in a moving van dragging a car on a tow dolly and the other time I left in January during a New England ice storm.

BTW the wife is a Leaf fan too and also corrupted my one of my sons with the Leaf Futility. Ima a Texas boy and eat, drink, and breathe football (and not that soccer stuff either).

Lol I’m a leaf fan on top of a cowboys fan.
Ouch, at least your offseason seems to be decent so far.
Kinda shocking the Panthers have been in more Stanley Cups than Dallas has been in Superbowls in nearly 30 years, and arguably panthers have had worse GMs during that.
