An old friend at Jacksonville...

Former Cowboys defensive end Marcellus Wiley plays for the Jaguars. That one 13-sack season he had in San Diego (2001) bought him a lifetime of opportunity.

It's hard to believe he was supposed to be the answer to the Cowboys' pass-rushing woes in 2004. He was coming off a three-sack season for goodness sakes.

How many sacks did he have in 11 games with the Jaguars last season?

That would be zero.

Heyward and Spicer are the defensive ends to watch out for Sunday.

If one of our OL even let Wiley get a sniff of Bledsoe, we should cut him on the spot.

What I find somewhat comical in hindsight is the fact that Wiley was quoted as blaming the scheme and the fact that he wasn't told in advance how much time he'd have to spend concentrating on stopping the run first for his lack of production during his season here. I wonder what he has to say about his time in Jacksonville last year.

One thing that isn't mentioned there though is that it wasn't just his 13 sacks in '01 that bought him so much opportunity, it was also the fact he was coming off a 10.5 sacks the year before in his initial season as a full-time DE in Buffalo (replacing Bruce Smith). The guy unquestionably had some talent, I just don't know what happened.

Simple, he got more interested in what happened off the field rather than what happened on the field. He fell in love with being a bigshot, celebrity athlete and decided he was no longer interested in doing the work to be a great player.

I'm shocked he's still on Jacksonville's roster!

How does a defensive end get 0 sacks and still have a job?

'Dat Bust' retired 4 years ago and didn't tell anybody!

Yep. The beast got 11 tackles and 0 sacks with the Jags last year.. I think I hated him more than kickers.
