i dont understand why most of you are hating on this dude. i think we got a real good player here check it out.

I think in our system,he'll be okay.

Also,we may end up releasing him once Romo returns,so its all good.

Maybe cause the Jets no longer wanted him, The Eagles didn't want him, and he got freakin cut by Denver for sucking. He got cut in favor of way less experienced QB's. That says something about his abilities at the moment.

ESPN NY beat writer's take on Sanchez:

Sanchez's decline actually began in 2011, when the Jets decided to remove the young quarterback from bubble wrap. For two years, they coached around him, hiding him behind an outstanding offensive line and letting the league's best defense carry the team. It worked -- two straight trips to the AFC Championship Game -- but they felt it was time to make him the focal point.

I think if we need him to play and he is not asked to do too much he can be serviceable. He'll have playmakers to throw to and a strong running game to lean on. He had those things (along with a strong defense) when he beat Brady and Manning in the playoffs.

We may have him on our roster, but everyone knows we're in a bad spot if he ever has to take a snap.

We should've just called up Kitna.

:D

Nope, but I remember this Sanchez

Sanchez will make a adequate back up. Better then Casell
Mark is OK. But just cant get the image of the buttfumble out of my head!! He will be servicable in Dallas on the short term. Still, it is hard to believe that the great and mocked Sanchez is actually going to play in Dallas. Imagine the heat the Cowboy FO is going to take over this one.

Because he is only effective if his first read is open.

After that he panics and turns the ball over quite a bit.

Cowboys were in the market for better trash than we had. In today's NFL desperate need for a backup QB trash brings 2.5 million. Ha!

He's Weeden (or worse) who was fortunate enough to play with a GREAT defense to syst his career. Look at his numbers for those playoff years. He was not good even then.

One thing that actually scares me about those highlights is that most of his passes were quick, three-step drops, where the ball comes out fast. Not a lot of reading the coverages or long-developing routes. Basically the opposite of the Garrett offense. I think that's probably why Chip Kelly liked him, but also why I'm worried that he may be a poor fit here unless they've changed some things up.

Weedens performance against Atlanta and New Orleans were arguably enough with a greater Cowboys defense. And why he was able to win a couple of games in Houston.

We have to remember that there were no guarantees this year even with a healthy Romo that our defense wasn't going to hold us back again. Romo just provided hope he could overcome our defense. But he wasn't able to like from 2011-2013.

No matter what QB was brought in, most would find a way to whine and complain, because it is not what they want. I was not high on Sanchez, but could have been worse. At least he has a lot of experience. I would have rather wait a few days. But then what, all the QB's are taken, and we are left with no one with any experience.
Just live with it and see what happens. There is nothing anyone of us can do about it.
Unless we get the ban buying merchandise threads, or get a billboard agenda going again. :muttley:

Sanchez's arm strength is gonna make Kellen Moore's arm look like a bazooka.;)
