Fans on this board over the years totally overlooked disrespected this QB calling him a “ bust “ . You know who you are now fess up fellas . This is a 12 win team ready for a run at the SB . I think in a relatively short career this might be his 4th HC / OC . This current HC gets my vote as coach of the year . Remember Urban Meyer what a mess this was .

He has played as well as any QB in the league the last 5 games.

Full on torch mode.

16 TDs and 1 turnover with many clutch plays and drives in last 5 games.

Good for him

Going into the last weekend, Jacksonville is not yet eliminated from the top overall seed.
Highly unlikely, though, as NE would have to lose at home to Miami and Denver to LA Chargers.

Remains to be seen if he is just having a hot string like Flacco.

He needs to have a whole season like this before he is not considered a partial bust.

He came out with expectations that rivaled Luck's so he has not come close to fulfilling those.

It is true that he has not had the coaching or continuity he needs.

whether that turns out to be an excuse or reason we shall see

Miami will not put up much of a fight .

If indeed Lawrence has finally figured things out then good for him. He is not the first QB to take a few years for the light to go on when it comes to playing NFL QB and he won't be the last. But a hot 5 game stretch does not a career make. I need to see it for multiple seasons before I'm a believer.

Who gives a damn about him other than you?

Fair point

It’s called an NFL forum for a reason . I know it’s not about the beloved out of the playoffs Cowboys but the rest of the league can be discussed by knowledgeable fans please try and cope. Now take your meds before bed and run along now.
And for all that's holy quit entering threads just to say horrible things to people. Makes you really look slimy.

Literally what the hell man? This is pretty petty even for you. Don't come to the "NFL Zone" if you don't want to talk about other teams/players.

You already taint the Cowboys Zone with your constant hate filled, trolling, "I'm a better fan than you" BS, let's leave the rest of the zones alone Rocky.

Give it a rest already. Touch grass, feel sun, speak to a therapist. Please.

Are we talking Rockport or me ? I just brought up an NFL QB post maybe im in the wrong forum ?

I'm sure that was for Rocky. You did/said nothing wrong. As for Lawrence, he has looked really good for at least the 2nd half of this season. Good to see, and a testament to what good coaching can do. Hopefully he can keep it up in the playoffs.

He did not play all that great this last game.
at a certain point it is up to the player to produce

Both Lawrence and Stroud are a couple of QBs that have only been in the league a few years that I check in on to see how they're doing.

They are two guys who pretty much unanimously are liked by their teammates and those who know them.
You don't hear them popping off much or tooting their horn when they get on a roll, etc. No win guarantees, etc.

Just good dudes.

So good for him.
Needs to keep it up, though, barring the occasional hiccup that all players have.

I think Maye fits that mode of confident/humble type, but he is ahead of the curve
