Pretty sure he caught for 250 yards, and became our number one....

Let's see what happens with Murray. Who thinks he starts and who doesn't after Felix gets back healthy?

This is looking like a timeshare. Depending on each backs effectiveness in that time share will determine future carries. Pretty much Murray hasn't taken over for Felix just yet, but he's given himself the opportunity to take on an even bigger role (maybe even lead dog)

when he comes back I think they will split carries until one shows he is better than the other.

i do not think he supplants Felix

Concur, but I can see Garrett going with the angle of easing Felix back into the rotation with Murray as stater if Demarco continues to play at a high level. Under that scenario I can see Demarco continuing to be a starter for a few games by default unless he keeps kicking *** and chewing bubblegum, but is still out of bubblegum.

Yup. I really think whether or not Murray is moved into the starting spot, with Felix filling more of a flex role like he used to, all depends on how Murray plays in the next few games that Felix is out.

If he can keep his stats to a good 80/90+ yds with a TD, I think he'll get half and half once Felix comes back to see what one another can do on the field with a timeshare.

Best comes out the starter, second gets the flex role.

Although I would like to see a little more of Philip Tanner though :]

Dude MANhandled those carries he got, when he got the opportunity.

Felix hasn't had many long runs since the preseason. I don't think the guy has been healthy, regardless of what the injury report shows (or doesn't show). He isn't his normal self.

Performance alone on the field, what do you see that warrants him being the starter when he returns?

His vision? Oh wait.

His burst? Oh wait.

His runs of over 5+ yards this year? Oh wait.

I personally don't think Felix is the starter for the rest of this year. Ankle sprains linger for a very long time, and I don't see him having a burst like he did in preseason anytime this year.

Sure, the team will tee it up like Felix isn't healthy to keep egos from being bruised, but I think a few more solid performances from Murray, and Felix doesn't get his job back.

Carry on. :)
