He had a back injury and left the game yesterday. I saw a local news recap of the Raiders game that said that there was a good chance he won't make the game Thursday.

The Patriots are not idiots.

Seymour is in the last year of his contract. I fully expect him to re-sign with NE this off-season to a reasonable contract. Meanwhile, the Patriots will get a top 5 pick in Aprils draft.

It wouldn't surprise me if Belichek and Seymour had all this pre-planned before he was traded. Play one year in the hinterlands of Oakland for a year and come back in 2010.
