Dallas has the best secondary in the nfl adding Gilmore. They don't have the best player at cb or s, but the depth is going to be crazy with Gilmore added.

CB
Diggs
Gilmore
Bland
Lewis
Muku
Joseph
Wright

S
Kearse
Wilson
Hooker
Bell

I'd like to see the team move Mukuamu to FS. He can be that high S with the range to cover deep. Hooker isn't bad but it's clear the injury look that extra gear from him. While he's serviceable he can't cover the speed anymore. He left Bland out to dry vs GB

Dallas still has the luxury to draft more secondary help because they've filled needs. 2 S' I'd like to see with the star are Skinner or Battle.

Especially Safety.

We kissed a lot of frogs (Jeff Heath, Xavier Woods, Barry Church, JJ Wilcox, Danny McCray, Gerald Sensabaugh, Abram Elam, Alan Ball, Keith Davis) before finding Kearse, Hooker, and D. Wilson.

ALAN BALL... I'm having horrific flashbacks

A rather good post, lad. Not to say I agree with everything, but still a wise assessment to spark this colloquy.
Carry on, then.

I agree with you 100%. Dallas has a great if not the best secondary. They still need a key piece to help this secondary even more... a great 1T. A guy that can push back the center and a guard helps Micah and the secondary a great deal.

Great post! It won't surprise me if the Cowboys draft a CB on day 3. You never know what you might find.

We definitely did, though Barry Church and Gerald Sensabaugh were solid, I would take any of our current safeties.

Church was slow as heck.

Sensabaugh was a great athlete but had really bad ball skills and awareness.

We consistently took shortcuts at the position after the team was criticized for spending a high 1st round pick on Roy Williams.

Kelly Rowland still has his dice in a crown bag

Yes But remember patience paid off also the bargain bin paid off those in the zone mock both things ie not bringing in or trading for likes of Berry, Thomas and Adams all would have been major league mistakes and the FO was patient and it shows why Fans are not GMS.. they pick names Throw monopoly money around in Fantasy football dreams..

now its DT they want anybody and everybody who wants money and has name. that does not make them the right fit..

on DT, I threw an ignored stat up from last year IE Dallas D was as good ie even or better thin run D then Philley who many here claim have better handle on the DL/LB FA and draft philosophy's but yet they were ran over many games late last year and lost the SB over it..

so many narratives continue to prove wrong. Fans have fun with it but yes would be nice to have 22 pro bowlers years but the FO has to continue yearly to replace players and add through the draft and FA and cant fix every problem as fast as fans would like.
