anyday of the week. Called romo a "poor man's Jay cutler" Now yeah his teammates certainly havent been helping him out much but man skip better be eating some crow if he hasnt already.

The scary thing about Cutler is that, yes, he threw five picks -- but he threw about seven other interceptable balls.

That must have been last year, because this season Skip has been slobbering all over us.

Didnt denver get like two first round picks along with orton also? man that was a steal! i bet bears fans are ******

On April 2, Cutler was traded to the Chicago Bears along with a fifth-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. In return, the Broncos received quarterback Kyle Orton, the Bears' first and third-round selections in 2009, and the Bears' first-round pick in 2010.

This trade looks worse and worse everyday for the Bears.

Dude relies far too much on his arm. Steps into about half his throws and just whips his arm the rest of the time.

ESPN's First Take had Skip saying that he'd take the Cowboys over the Vikings. Take it for what it's worth.

Man thats a lot worse than i thought, horrible trade.

It was just skippy that said they would take cutler over Romo.

Search through some old post on this board and you will find some people among us that would have said the same thing. Of course they are not going to stand up and admit it now.:laugh2:

Jay Cutler=Jeff George. I agree with Bill Simmons, Cutler should just grow the mustache already.

Lots of people said that.

Lots of "cowboys fans" said that and worse things about romo.

Lots of cowboys legends have said terrible unwarranted things about romo this offseason and season.

Good for them.

What's Romo's value?

One word for you. "upside" Cutler has it, Romo on borrowed time and talent.

If you have a corvette and I have a kia, who do you think will win a car race? I don't care about your stats, or Adams stats, or anyone else in the world's stats.

The bottom line is, Cutler has a bigger arm, he's smarter, way more upside with less talent.

This year we will go around 5-11, Chicago will be in the play-offs competing for the SB. There is your difference.

I would've considered Cutler for Romo as well.

At a time, from a decison making perspective, Romo looked eerily similar to Cutler. And they both would have those big games and then those really, really bad games.

To Cutler's credit, the Bears O-Line might be the worst in the NFL right now. He's practically having to scramble on about 80% of his passes. Their WR corp is so-so. Hester and Bennett aren't bad. Knox has some talent. But they are all raw. Olsen is very good.

Plus, their defense has stunk this season.

The eery similarity is that Cutler has that somewhat disinterested look when it comes to protecting the ball. The thinking that 'well, I make big plays so turnovers come with the territory.'

I think outside of the G-Men game, Romo has focused very hard on protecting the ball and hasn't had that careless, wreckless attitude.

I hate to bring it up because believe me, I'm sick of hearing it as well. But until Romo gets it done from December and beyond, non-Cowboys fans and critics will always point to wanting to see that first before they believe in Romo.

The big thing Cutler has on Romo right now is age. Being young he is still developing and if the Bears got him some decent personnel, things can happen. But last night what I saw out of Cutler was everything that destroyed my confidence in Romo. Fortunately, Romo has turned that around a good deal.

Suddenly, the Williams trade doesn't bother me as much.

yep, because if we don't win the SB he'll whine about how the Cowboys chocked and are a bunch of underachievers
